I am usually doing solo play, I don't pvp at ll if I can avoid it. I prefer drones as means of killing things, And I enjoy scanning down things.

When I say things I mean things.. drones, probes, MTU's everything other pilots have left out in space I seek out.. you cn look upon me like you would the garbageman....

ANYHOW. After about 3 years break to eve, I logged in and foun to my excitement that Sisters of EvE had launched a collection of ships PERFECT for my endevours.... that is until I fitted a combat scanner on their ship.... Why the hell cant I fit anything else? How come this line, perfectly built by the Sisters, dont have CPU reduction for fitting scanners? that would truely have made it awesome. That and leaning more towards shield fits... Anyone know witch sister designed theese so I can kick her in the shins?

Like any faction ship, they get bonuses from 2 different factions. In this case, they get the armor-bonuses from Amarr and the drones from Gallente. In stead of probe reduction, they get relic/data bonuses for hacking

Skills, implants, rigs and the ever trusty co-processor are your friends.
Why you need them is for game balance, but why CCP choose the bonuses they did may forever be one of life's mysteries.

combat probes are hard to fit , true .
the tactical destroyers have a fitting bonus for these though.
veeeeery little compromise in this.

With level 5 skills and a tiny bit of pimpage you can fit everything without need of any fitting mods.

Good fit, of course, but I think the OP was crying about not being able to fit an Expanded Launcher at will onto all and sundry (including battle Velators)...

Perfection is a dish best served like wasabi .

Because if you could fit an expanded probe launcher easily onto an Astero, there would be exactly zero reason to ever use the Helios/Buzzard/Anathema/Cheetah, you know, the T2 exploration ships.
