Citadel Notes for Mission Runners

With the advent of Citadels and "free ports" cropping up everywhere, I thought I'd share a few points that may be beneficial to mission runners.

• There's (currently) no docking fee.
• Docking and undocking is instantaneous.
• There is no jump timer delay when jumping to a clone stored at a Citadel.
• Repairs to ships (hull, armor, shield, capacitor) occur while tethered (not docked) and are also free. Docking and undocking does not automatically replenish shields and capacitor. You need to approach, be tethered and then wait for the repair icon(s) to appear above your HUD (it takes a few seconds to establish).
• Citadels will also repair module and drone damage while tethered (~4% per cycle), and your drones need to be deployed in order to be repaired.

I have no idea how it works if you leave ships and or equipment in any of these "free ports", but I'm assuming access can be later revoked - so I'd probably avoid this unless you know/trust the owner or you're just using it to stash extra ammunition and drones.

Given that there are no agents in citadels, this information is of very minor use to mission runners, except in some edge cases.

This is the lone reason why I haven't build a Citadel yet.

The option to repair fitted damaged mods, drones etc, does not appear because it is done automatically while tethered.

I've yet to see this.

I've experienced it myself; also any fitted, completely burnt out, mod gets repped and you can turn it online because tethering also fills up your cap.

I'll give it another try, but the last time I was tethered it didn't repair module or drone damage.

Give it a bit of time, it doesn't do it instantly.

Same, sit at a citadel long enough and it will fix everything.

Nope, still doesn't work. Say tethered for 20 minutes and it didn't repair a single damaged module or drone.

Do citadels repair launched drones in the space?

Time is money for missioner. If there is no station, where I can be repaired instantly, I would use citadel for sure. But otherwise it is time consuming, though much cheapier.

Citadel will repair you fast enough while you in space. You don't need to spent time on dock/undock game.

Medium railguns burned to 100 % are repaired by 4 % per second. It is almost half minute hanging on tethering beam doing nothing (rep is not started immidiately), instead of dock -> instant rep -> undock.

We were wailing on one the other day and once we reinforced it, it filled our cap and repaired the heat damage we had sustained shooting it.

Now thats service.

Not to mention, so far the "cheap" citadels are what are popping up everywhere.... which doesn't include a market option. I'll stick with the station 100km away I am in unless I get wardec'd and decide I need some refuge for a second.
