Hey there, returning player here.

I remember ice harvesting in the past and wanted to go back to it but I can't find any ice belts! Do they need scanning down now (I guess so)? If so, where can they be found? Hi-sec / Lo-sec etc.? Also, I'm currently residing around Jita - can someone let me know the closest place to be able to find them please?

Ice belts are now anomalies and you will need to open your scanner to see them. They respawn 4 hours after depletion in select systems.

Use dotlan, and look for systems with a ring around them. Largest concentration I know of is in north west Everyshore. 5 systems with 8 belts: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Everyshore

Thanks. But which scanner do I need to use? Directional scanner? Or do I actually need a scanning ship / probes?

I believe that they show up as anomolies on the probe scanner, no probes needed.
