Fighters using the handbrake???

i noticed that when i fight the sites with my fighters a odd thing happens.
in between the targets the guns of the fighters are still in cycle and need to end this cycle before i can shoot an other target.
this is normal The odd thing is that all 3 my squadrons are pulling the handbrake ASAP they have killed a target and come to a total standstil... ( AKA as Sitting duck practice ) and every npc ship that was targeting the fighters will starts laughing.
( remembering the drones beeing kinda silly in RMR )
Please dont tell me this was intended so the NPC's have a fighting chance?

the fighters stop because you have not told them to attack something else yet?

No the fighters use their handbrake becourse i cannot give them a command untilll the cycle of the gun is over. i guess its very logical to do so in a area where ships are shooting at you.

my advice would be to take the aggro away from the drones, never really noticed this sort of thing before tbh

Why not give them an orbit command while the cycle finishes.
