Lazy PI possible?

I currently have a number of active hauler accounts. In the additional two slots per account, I was thinking of training PI alts. I'd like to be able to work on my PI for about two hours a week maximum.

These are the planets that I have at my disposition:
Plasma, Lava, Barren (x 4), Temperate and Gas (x 3).

I was thinking of making P1 from the Lava and then using another planet to make P2.

Given that I am going to have about 10 pilots to manage, I was thinking of staying away from P3.

Any suggestions/commentary?

If you dont want to put much time into PI, just do p2 directly on each planets (you can keep a planet to do p2 to p3/p4 if you want but not needed, could make robotics with yours which is great profit margin from the p2)

I do this with 12 toons and set the timer to 3 days 23hours. I try to get in every 3 days to restart my extractor and haven't got burned out of it in 3 months

For the setup, I can propose you this: (assuming lvl4 skills)

Everyone take the plasma and lava to produce consumer electronics (lava) and enriched uranium (plasma). You should easly output 10/hour, but you can setup it up for 15 with good planets
If you have a small gas planet (<60000) you can setup one planet per toon there to make coolant
Fill up the last2/3 slot with barren and mechanical parts. You may one to keep one planet on one toon with lower production, but fit p3 production for robotics

This is what I recommand, might not be perfect but it stays quite simple

Thank you very much for the tips. I have continued to look into this, and done some more research. Let's say i want to make High-Tech Transmitters. How would you set yourself up?

I was thinking: Gas making Reactive Gas; Temperate making Autotrophs, Plasma or Lava making Non-CS Crystals and the other Plasma or Lava making Suspended Plasma.

But where do I make my reactions?

You can make transmitters on a single planet - I use lava, they're easier to find than plasma. Polyaramids require 2 planets - I use temperate and gas and I make my P3 on the temperate planet. This requires moving stuff around and is not a "lazy" approach to PI.

I just looked at the median selling price for transmitters on eve central - 18,952.50. You can realistically make 200/day on a highsec lava planet. 300/day in nullsec. You'll need to refresh your programs every 2 days - occasionally moving your extractors and will need to harvest every 2-3 weeks. This is PI as "passive" income. Most P2 can be made on a single planet.

I will give you my personal opinion on this : Lazy PI mean production planets, production planet mean low/null/wormholes. If you are doing PI in high sec you have to use a factory setup, and if you are doing so, it's everything but lazy, you need to setup the factory which will take you a lot of time (and clicks), and on top of that you will need to haul every day back and forth.

So yes it's possible, but you need to be in low null or wormholes
