Solar System Map Help

I'm having trouble with my solar system map. I don't know how else to describe it, other than, it doesn't look like it did when I ran the Explorer Probe Scanning Tutorial. I seem to be zoomed way out or way off center, when I trying to do a probe scan with the Solar System Map open. Is there a way to reset the map, to the way it looked in the Explorer Tutorial? I'm lost.

I have not done the exploration tutorial in years so I don't know what you are talking about. However I am aware that there is a new map and an old map. Many players like the old map better. You can go into the escape menu under the general settings tab and there is a check box for:
Try the New Map
and
Try the New Probe and Directional Scanners.

You can try unchecking those one at a time or both at once and see how it affects things for you.

Also it's a good idea to 'Clear all cache files' in the 'Reset Settings' tab in Esc menu.

Helps get rid of little bugs that tend to show up after a game patch / release.
