What id like to do , run an IPO issue shares , pay dividend to shareholders. I cant seem to find how to pay dividend to shareholders.

Im CEO of my corp i hold 1000 shares i have created 119000 shares still in corp wallet , just want to know how to pay dividend , see what happens when i do it.

Does the divided just go to myself who holds 1000 shares, or will it be split between myself and the 119000 held by my corp.

The dividend you select is split evenly across all shares, so...

Let's pretend that you're going to pay a dividend equal to the exact number of shares that exist... You will get 1000 shares, and your corp's master wallet will receive 119000 shares.

I have avoided creating shares until I knew they are needed.

I was wondering if that might be the case.

Thats not problem. Lets say i started IPO for 2billion isk at 1mill isk share. Create the corp for the IPO which makes 1000 shares when you do this. Im going buyin for 50percent so those shares will be mine. That leaves 1bill isk for investors. So some one wants to buyin for 10mill isk. they send me or the corp the isk , i then create 10 shares , send them to investor.

So when you pay a dividend , the dividend is paid in more shares to the shareholders and not isk?

For example say you made profit of 1billion isk for the month, you wanted to pay 10% of that profit 100mill isk to the shareholders.
Is it not possible to pay dividend of 10% to shareholders they recieve isk .

Ok im thinking aloud.

IPO for 2billion isk 1mill isk share ,

I own 50 percent 1000 shares 1bill isk , one investor has bought 10 shares at 10mill isk

IPO total 1bill 10mill isk

Last month we profit 1bill isk i want to pay dividend of 10% on the profit

If i did this would i get 98 shares and he would get 2 shares. So i would have 1098 woth 1bill 98mill and he would have 12 shares worth 12mill.

Total for the IPO 2bill 10mill isk , total 1110 shares , with new share price of 1,810,810 isk

Is that how it would work ?

Or is this how it works

i have 1000 shares 1bill isk , one investor has 10 shares 10mill isk. Total shares for the corp are 1010

I pay dividend of 10% i recieve 100 shares investor recieves 1 share

So if we had made profit of 1billion isk in that month , i would of made extra 100mill in shares investor would of made extra 1mill in shares.

total for the IPO 2bill 10mill isk total shares 1111 new share price 1,809,180.

I have had no coffee, but
a) you don't want to create a share number like 1010, that will drive you insane. You want to have 10,000 or 100,000 shares as the total number.
b) the dividends and shares are not the same. Shares is a piece of "paper" that gives you ownership, dividends are money that are paid out. After each month, you do not redistribute shares to shareholders, you give money to the persons that own shares.

When you open the "Corporation" interface, you find the button to pay dividends on the bottom of the front page.
Dividends go to ALL shares, you can not control to whom the dividends go. That often creates the minor problem of not having enough liguid ISK to distribute to both the big lump of shares that your corp holds and to the people that are entitled to dividends. But if that is the case, you can pay the dividends in two servings.

Ok thankyou Cista , ill look for the pay dividend button next time i login. Ill make a dividend payment to shareholders in my corp see what happens.

Made dividend payment using my corp , and its very very simple. Click the dividend button , ask you how much do you want to pay, you enter the amount of isk , you want to pay as a dividend.

So in the example i was using , we made 1bill profit and you wanted to pay 100mill isk as dividend.

Youd just make sure you have the isk in the corp wallet to cover the dividend payment , when it ask you how much do you want to pay , type in 100mill isk it pays out the 100mill isk between the shareholders.
