This has happened to me repeatedly: a while after I start up EVE another instance will appear -- visible in both the dock, and when I command-tab through applications.

I have the Launcher closed.

Any notion what causes this, and how to prevent it? It really causes the game to lag.

Mac OS 10.11.4, using Wine for the EVE client.

I'm curious to see the launcher logs from when this happens. You'll find them in ~/Library/Application Support/CCP/EVE/Launcher - please file a bug report (https://community.eveonline.com/support/bug-reports/) and attach the files from this folder.

Did you have the in-game browser open? Ive noticed this always spawns a new icon on the dock like its another instance of Eve running, when I have multiple clients running it can be a little confusing trying to use the dock to go from client to client. Its always done this for me, I assume did was working as intended?
