I tried on the regular forum for Corps and just got a lot of automated messages from "corps that do it all" which is not what I'm trying to play for.

I'm looking for a Corp that is willing to take me in and teach me the craft. While I do not learn fast (admittedly) when I do learn, I learn well. I will from then on dedicate myself to the corp and cause in any way possible.

I've tried out the game multiple times but I never stuck as I never found a home. I know if I could find somewhere I will dedicate myself 100% to playing.

I am willing to use skill injectors, willing to start as a tackler, whatever.

What I can offer:

- Current active duty Army, I can bring that discipline to your corp.
- Efficient in voice comms. I'm not very social on comms, I do not talk about life, I do however have high situational awareness and can inform of anything that is not within the leaders view.
- Short concise responses : Roger, Moving, Negative, etc.
- I play a few hours a day week days and all day weekends.

I am currently in Hawaii (UTC -10) and would prefer a corp that is active around that time.

I am willing to train up alts, whatever is needed. This is me. I go 1000%. Take me under your wing and you'll have a deadly disciple.

Well there's a war going on. Go cut you teeth in Pandemic Horde or Dreddit. It might not be pirate enough for you in the short term but you will learn how to operate in a fleet.

If pirate you must, then get your foot in the door via Faction Warfare. Reason being, you will operate mostly in lowsec and get to know how things work in lowsec regions, and who is who out there (pirates routinely "get involved" in faction warfare but they are not picking sides - Twisted ) such that you get a feel for it. That could be a pathway to hooking up and with a history of activity you'll be past newbro level in no time.

Don't let the hub-humping gankers try to tell you what they do is "piracy" or PVP either - and they will be here to do just that soon enough. Unless you like watching youtube videos of the Knockout Game, attacking defenseless ships will bore you and leave you with a -10 status which, without anywhere but highsec to go (because lowsec pirates want real PVPers who know how to fight), you will be stuck.

Most of the Merc Alliances that frequent the C&P Forum require experienced PvPers. (Maintaining stats)

If you want the Merc lifestyle I would suggest you begin in a starter PvP Corporation such as Red vs Blue. A FW corporation is good also, I'd recommend Rapid Withdrawal.

I'd also spend a few months in WH space. Its like Das Boat meets Fury Road. One of the most active and professional alliances there are Hole Control. You will brush up on your European langs in the process.

If you return you will be a well rounded and attractive catch for a Merc alliance to poach.Pirate

If you like the company of active and retired army there are platoons worth running incursions, good to the chew the fat with through the evening on teamspeak. Just have to put up with their war stories Lol.

Good Luck finding the right outfit. o7

Thieving pirates discuss INTEGRITY; Anarchist gankers give us LAWS; and Whoring merc's cry then blow off clients with INSULTS.

Up is down and down is up in the C&P Forum.

Appreciate the help, I was hoping to find a mentor or SME of some sort as I tried just doing it myself but it's a lot less exciting. I enjoy learning from others experience which I feel really closes the gap between players with much more.

I'll take what I can get though o7

I would take up Saeger1737 offer he knows his stuff and if you want the Merc /pirate style image Atype would be a good place to make a name.

It will be fun to hear how you get on if you do become Padwan to Saeger1737, good luck what ever you do.

Take Saeger's offer, OP, not many newbros get an offer like that.

It won't end well. Military and saeger just won't get along. It's a respect thing.

Mail me, we can talk. I'm not sure if you'd be a good fit or not. We're winding back into the game and looking to pick up a few new bloods. We're wh, so not elite empire mercs. It's a bit different fighting style. We're pretty laid back (maybe too much) and aren't hung up on a pristine kb. We're more about having some fun and laughs. If you check our kb I'm certain you'll see that we have a pretty varied and deep pvp experience.

We're not for everyone and we don't often take guys in, but your timing is good if the fit is right.

We do have entrance skill requirements - you need to be able to fit a T2 warp disruptor, T2 warp scrambler. Other needed abilities are to fit prop mods and some form of weapon system.
