As im sure many of you are aware today is the release of another awesome Sci fi game called Stellaris (non competitor genre)

How many of you out there have pre-ordered?

Will CCP let us / encourage us to build an Eve online mod to port the world of New Eden into Stellaris ?

Prob. the other way around. People will finally be able to build Imperiums in Stellaris with mods that recreate New Eden while playing a mushroom race. Cool

Now I don't see why they wouldn't allow for it as long as you aren't trying to make a profit off of their IP. An eve mod in a game is effectively free advertisement. The real issue is properly getting it to work in the game because larger ship design is effectively like a strategic cruiser. I could see minmitar having no issues with the swappable parts...caldari ships will get weird, let alone putting titans in the game.

Yeah i think the larger ships would have to wait till they make the DLC for capitals (which you know is going to happen eventually its garunteed money lol)

It's a grand strategy game in a similar vein to Paradox Interactives other games like Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron or Europa Universalis except you govern a space empire rather than a historical empire.

It's similar to Endless Space, Master of Orion or Galactic Civilizations, except the level of depth is much greater.
