and fyi, if you ever hope to be able to put little ads on your video, you have to learn to not steal intellectual property.

protip TRACKING AUDIO IS ALWAYS A COPYRIGHT VIOLATION unless its yours or public domain or licensed to you through ASCAP
even if the video's original audio contains the audio, like in the case of a video of people dancing to a CD

I cant wait till SOPA is passed, DARTH is the first person I turn over to the police for stealing intellectual content and breaking copyright rules. The tears from his court appearance will make me smile.

not all music has distribution licenses worldwide, its part of how copyright works, sure some songs may be banned, but its mostly a distribution licensing issue

the ads part was in reference to how youtube ads work, no video can be eligible for revenue sharing if the user has copyright strikes against any of their other videos.

so the best rule of thumb is if you don't own it or license it or its not in the public domain its not yours to use, period
and this extends to services who post or display the content also

this is why copyright issues even happen with youtube
we all claim fair use because its not commercial, but the service (youtube) is commercial so fair use goes out the window, nevermind that people have no clue how fair use actually works
