Is it possible, either through technical issues or a meanness deep within the soul, for the launcher to display an inaccurate number of players currently logged in? Would there be a benefit to either inflating or deflating the figures? I know it's impossible to tell when the Germans, Americans, Russians or Australians all go to supper, watch football or whatever but occasionally I'll log on and the number of players logged on seem a bit off. Probably just me, but just wondering.

How can the numbers seem 'a bit off' if, by your own admission, you have no clear idea as to how many people are potentially logged in?

Is it possible for the launcher to display an inaccurate number? Probably. Is it some massive conspiracy from CCP to keep the gaming public in the dark for some nefarious purpose? No. You can take your tinfoil hat off now and enjoy the game.

When the possibilities are endless then the probabilities are also endless; just like my tin foil hat-it's beginning to rust. Something CCP did, no doubt. And, adding to the disturbance in the Matrix; this is my third attempt to post, I even got this big page thing that claimed EVE got ganked, so we'll try it again.

Staring at those asteroids for long periods of time
tends to do some funky things to ones mind.
Having that IGB close at hand
makes it easy to do funky things in forumland.

Once after DT I saw it say 1 players online, ccp can't English. So yes they can be wrong, else I'd be able to get in when it's V.I.P's only
