Even more extreme, no dec cost at all, turn up in an ibis and take a potshot, get the same killmail that others have spent a week grinding for. I suppose it could be said of all whoring, but in this case you get an exact time a week in advance to turn up and suicide whore.
This is irelevant.

In-between the gazillion DPS coming in from a large enough fleet to take down a Keepstar, it is highly unprobable that your gank Ibises are going to get any final blows.

And besides, it doesn't really matter: A) Killmail shows who did the real work, B) Loot will still drop and C) If its a Merc job, Client will be happy all the same.

Irrelivent to the OP's question yes, I just went off on a tangent thinking about the weekly grinding of astrahus's.

As far as a keepstar in highsec, as said before, it will die easily if not put up by a null bloc or similar sized fleet.

The mass of ehp is no real obstacle, the killmail isk to ehp ratio is much more in the attacking mercs favour as you go up the citadel sizes. A keepstar killmail is worth so much more to many more people than the increase in ehp, and many many orders of magnitude more than the increase in its own defensive firepower, which is still easily tankable.
