It's so easy to spot the noobs going QQ

HEY Genius.. how about warping away and going elsewhere with your little gang of frigates?

It's not like the carrier can dictate a fight...

Guess what happens if you tackle it when it's near a gate and you have a proper small PvP gang? Carrier dies.

Been around since the beginning.

Go elsewehere? You know how much small gang stuff happens at stations? You know these things are mobile? As it stands now carriers can literally block most subcap pvp by their sheer presence. That's just bad. Secondly i'm a nullsec solo pilot so i'm basically completely ****** by this change. Carriers will volley you on gates, carriesr will block you from station grid. Going elsewhere doesn't fix what is broken balance wise. Caps which project cap damage over houndreds of km with frig tracking are utterly broken. If you can't see that you are probably blinded by your own interest. C'mon now...

Really guys i know you love your new toys but try to see things from a small gang/solo perspective. This is kinda gamebreaking. Small gang solo is the playingfield of some of the most enthuisiastic eve players there are and to **** us over like that is not good for you either. I'm not saying carriers should get nerfed back to the point they were before. Imo a good compromise would be to give carriers and additional flight of drones with respective damage boni and make fighters miss small stuff. This way carrier pilots wil have to pick the right tool and manage more things at the same time. This would be engaging gameplay with lots of new optons in contrast to superfighters which just anihilate all the things.

I can see where you are coming from, but Eve is a paper sissors rock game and your gang of T3 destroyers should not be able to overwhelm everything because of N+1 and I say that as someone who spent most of his time in small gangs.

What you need is to have a carrier on call with light fighters which will destroy the fighters, otherwise you will just have to pass up on the carrier. Yes it has reduced your target selection and then when more people switch to carriers because of increased survivability when ratting you will have to develop the counter. But fighters are smaller then frigates so it seems a bit silly to have them unable to hit them.

I have concerns more about the sheer power that cap heavy entities will now have in the game, but I want to see how this pans out a bit more.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Sorry to pop your bubble, but even without fighters having missiles there would still be superiority fighters who are very good at killing drones, fighters and, surprise, small ships. Actually they are even better at that than normal fighters. And even if those were gone - carrier can't be semi-AFK to rat now, they have 5000km targeting range, they can stay aligned forever so all that would happen when you showed up would be that carrier would hit the warp button and sit it out in POS. 'tuff luck, try again, maybe that AFKtar in other site might be more inclined to play with you.

Like I said in some other thread - want big kills? Bring bigger guns. Maybe warping to 0 on swarm of fighters isn't good idea. Maybe having active tank and resists to withstand a volley of missiles that cycle slowly would be good? Maybe some of those T2 ships designed for immobilising ships and some other T2 ships designed to do lots of damage to smaller things, like fighters for example, and some of those oh so rare ewar ships could help?

Too bad those ships are rather rare and nobody can fly them and we have no way to alter our ships for different purposes, oh well...

Jam them. Bring a guy with a Griffin and jam all of them, then destroy them.

Fighters are VERY vulnerable to EWAR. Like I said in that other thread you were posting this in, just re-examine your tactics and try something new. Just because orbiting above 7km/s doesn't guarantee you invulnerability against carriers anymore doesn't mean they now have no counters and are completely overpowered destroyers of fun.

Sure but bear in mind if you recall fighters and redeploy them then anything you already had locked within 30km will die

Forgive me for being blunt but the new Carriers are a huge **** you sign for solo and small gang pvp. They basically create a no fly zone wherever they are fielded be it at gates or stations. I mean fighters volley mwd frigs which burn back to the gate for christs sake. Shouldn't fast things outrun fighters launched by massive carriers like in rock paper scissors!? All this does is to reward stationary risk averse pvp with carriers negating every thinkable subcap piloting tactic. Obvious fix: things 2.5-3k m/s + outrun fighters. I mean sersly how did these things made it off the test server. CCP pls...

The forums seem to be filling up with whiny little idiots that want free capital kills handed to them. Too bad so sad, get over it or quit. Or both.

How did he have time to lock you when you were burning to gate with mwd?

New Siege like module for Carriers drastically increases Scan Res something like 900% so they can quickly lock hostile Carrier's Fighters and such.
