Hello Everyone, i have considered what i can use to do Angel complexes down in 0.0.

The ships i have been considering is the Legion or a Tengu, but i cant seem to find a fitting that is good enough.
How much tank should i have etc.?

I hope someone out there got a little experience and can tell me more about this.

[Tengu, SoloTengu for 10/10 Angel Escalation]
True Sansha Reactor Control Unit
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II

Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Invulnerability Field II
Explosion Dampening Field II
Large Shield Extender II
Large Shield Extender II
10MN Afterburner II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile

Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Medium Warhead Flare Catalyst I
Medium Core Defence Field Extender I

Tengu Defensive - Supplemental Screening
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir

This is the fitting i have been thinking about, the plan is to range tank and keep at range with the AB. its cheap compared to the 2B active tank fittings out there.

Is there really no one that can come up with a viable fitting for this? :-D

Never done it, but here''s my 2 cents.

[Tengu, Long range]
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II

Y-S8 Hydrocarbon Afterburners
Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range
Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution
10MN MicroWarpdrive II
Invulnerability Field II
Photon Scattering Field II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile

Medium Hydraulic Bay Thrusters I
Medium Hydraulic Bay Thrusters I
Medium Ancillary Current Router I

Tengu Defensive - Supplemental Screening
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst

with all lvl 5 it gives:

649 DPS at oprox. 148km range which should be more than sufficient. (with 2 tech2 rigs it aprox 160km)

Burn to range with MWD, then keep at range with afterburner.

Bit of advice about doing these. Whatever you do, make sure you have taken every precaution first before doing the actual mission, that means safes, tacs, bookmarks and scouting etc. I live in Angel space in Curse, Curse is nasty, one of the most dangerous areas of EVE.
If you are found, you will be killed by one of the many corps down here who specialize in hunting ratters. I do a bit of Angel missions here and there, and your fit is similar to mine.
Just my two cents and good luck.

I regularly run missions in Curse, and occasionally also run plexes.

Previous reply - that Curse is a very active PvP area - is pretty spot-on. That's not a bad thing, but does serve to make you careful and patient if you don't want to lose your goodies too often. It can be wannabe-PvPer mayhem there on weekends tho, and I often clone jump somewhere else and leave them to their moaring rawring mwahaha talk for the weekend :-)

My suggestion is to stick with the tengu ... whatever ppl may say there really is no more versatile hi-end PvE ship. For virtually all (possibly all) that you're going to meet a 6HML version of the tengu is gonna do fine.

As for fitting, well that depends on your approach and skills ... and there is no absolute right or wrong. You may need a lowslot RCU for fitting purposes, and other responder may like using a dual-prop version. Ours tend to have: 3 - 4 BCUs and 0 - 1 DC in lows; AB, LSE(s), MSB & amp, and hardener(s) in the mids; and 6 x HMLs in the highs. Our different ships have different combinations of missile and shield rigs ... and they all seem to do just fine.

Once we get to situations with significantly higher incoming DPS (e.g. C4 sites) then our 6HML tengu starts faltering a little under fire and we use a way-tankier 5HML variant ('gimped' according to some :-) with LSB & amps, and no prop mod.

Depending on your risk appetite and confidence you can also fit a tengu with nullifier, and even covops cloak capability, and still pump out fair DPS. IDK how such a fit copes solo with tough sites tho, but it does offer a little additional nullsec safety. I sometimes run one of these, as a "scout with benefits", alongside a 6HML variant, when I am two-shipping missions and plexes.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Before I post any fitting advice, I've got 3 questions.

#1 - Are you doing it for the ISK or just for the fun of the challenge?

#2 - How much ISK do you plan on or are at least aiming for earning out there?

#3 - If you're in it solely for the ISK, then why not just safely run DED sites in high sec? (They payoff quite well. I do them every week.)

Legion can solo it with relative ease, I'd highly suggest it over a Tengu
