Storyline mission trigger warning

I would like the option of a warning message before you hand in a completed mission that would trigger a Storyline Mission. You could then complete a different mission for your desired faction and get the best storyline agent.

When starting out you need to gain standing with particular agents and its annoying to get a storyline mission from the wrong agent.

It is almost impossible to track how many missions you have done when you work for multiple agents at different levels and if you share missions in fleets it is impossible.

I do a lot of level 4 security missions, and they always seem to trigger a storyline mining mission in lowsec. Really strange.

Umm. No it's not. If a simple text file isn't enough there are always spreadsheets. Damn things can do almost anything if you flog them hard enough.

Besides. If you're not willing to work for it, why should the game hand you an advantage like this?

Was I being too nice? I'll try to fix that. Always forget when I'm in F&I.

The trigger is the number 15 (or is it 16, can't tell for sure as I have not run missions in nearly a year). As a mission runner, you should know that.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Just keep a pen and paper handy, if you're so bothered.

Jeez, re-writing large portions of code to satisfy one person? Loooovely.

I used to have a notepad on my desk and put a little dash for each mission a player completed. Was very easy to keep track of it that way.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Now now guys this type of player is the one ccp wants now. Gone are the days of a dangerous player run sandbox it's time to start thinking of a safe automated one

Once you start using the possibilities the game offers, it is far from impossible:
There is an in-game notepad (E-Menu -> Accessories). You can make notes of almost anything, and you dont even need to "save" the text file, just write in the note, and the game remembers. - I have such a note in my in-game note pad, having listed all the factions I have missioned for, and with entries "1:"-"4:" below each, and in the same line I keep track of the number of turned-in missions of the apropriate level. I just add "one" to the respective mission level I just completed.
Make sure you count the previous storyline-mission, too. Or, disregard it, and you will receive the next after *gasp* 15 missions. (Who came up with 16, anyway?)
Also, I think shared missions only count for the accepting pilot, not for fleetmates. (Else, pls send me an evemail!)
