How do you roll wormholes now efficiently and consistently? Do you use HIC's? Any ideas what to do post-Citadel?

You jump ships through it till it closes.

The wormhole destabilizer module should do the trick

Especially with the new ship bonuses... They close in no time!

I assume you mean with the recent changes to higgs effect on nullified ships. You can continue to use t3s and yachts but they are much less slippery now. Mallers, t1 battleships (like raven/mega/temp/apoc), and HICs are alternatives depending on how much you think you can lose and what the situation calls for.

I do wish the community here would be slightly less elitist and let people ask basic and/or redundant questions. I too am sick of seeing 'stuck in jxxx.'

Best of luck

see, you get all upset with, presumably, my 'elitist' response but frankly it's accurate.
i literally do zero maths when closing a WH, just jump crap through it till it dies and ive yet to end up on the wrong side of a hole with a collapsing ship.
sure, i could write up a 10 page step by step guide on when you should be jumping what ship and roughly how many times but it's just a huge waste of time since realistically anyone with a primary school level of maths should be able to figure it out for themselves.

3bil hole is past mid mass? guess im not jumping a cap through it.
is this hole safe to jump a battleship though? i dunno, is it crit?

it's really not rocket science and a question like was asked here is FAR more vague than my previously given response since the correct answer is actually 'it depends on what hole, with what ships, at what stage it is, what you know has been through it, what you dont know has been through it and what its max jumpable mass is'.

so in light of a stupid question, im sticking with my stupid answer; jump ships through it till it closes.

Fair points, but its not like the masses are asking well thought out articulated questions. If people did research or carried probes in their cargohold about 2/3rds of the discussion on here would evaporate. I'm just saying when we get the rare question asked vaguely (I'm assuming so as not to showcase ignorance or risk adversion) we should certainly be flippant but maybe not quite so offputting.

The WH community is way more friendly (note even when we've ganked or been ganked) than it appears on the forums, and I think if people weren't as afraid of tbe big bad wolf, we'd have more targets (or be targets ourselves).

The best fights, close calls, greatest allies, and crushing losses of my own have been in wh space...

wspace, and therefore my approach, has little patience for people who don't take initiative but embraces those who do.
I consider this an underlying truth in EVE and it's multiplied 100 fold for wormhole life, I'm not going to apologize for it.

i wouldnt recruit a person not willing or able to perform simple google searches into my WH corp, would you?
i expect people I fly with to have a certain level of competency, at least past the basic hand holding stage.

maybe that is elitist, *shrug*, if so I can live with it.

PS: this has nothing to do with how long someone has played or how many SP they have. I've seen completely incompetent veterans who have been in eve for years do some of the dumbest things imaginable in wspace and I have likewise seen complete rookies, a few weeks old, FC ops into wspace competently and successfully.
it always comes down to attitude and general self reliance.

I'd disagree that the research is easy. Majority of things are disjointed or out of date... so why not ask an expert.

Although, I will agree that there will be no hand holding.. if you get some guidance and spend 90% of your time relying on someone else to do all the work WH space isnt a good fit. And frankly **** off.

Thanks for the candor, and I don't think I asked anyone for an apology... just maybe some mindfulness in these replies.

The total mass on some wormholes seems to have been changed slightly. Has anyone else noticed this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
