How about a purge local chat after you leave jita .

And TEST for that matter :P

TESTies are only mildly annoying compared to the true Goons. (Had to put up with their BS while quietly removing my stuff from Fountain before the BLAST/IT fail cascade).

As for my earlier posted idea... stick a "Character Selection" button next to the "Log Off" button on the ESC menu :)

There are special devices you can attach to your wrist that can be programmed to show any time you like. You may want to get one of those, they work really well.

That would require detectible brain activity to figure out, let alone use.

Bad idea. Why? Because you should probably be running eve in a window.... (alt + enter guys) so you can see your OS clock. Also a major part of EVE coordination is by using the standardized GMT (EVE time) as a base for time. For example, if everyone had local clocks , "02:50" could be 10 different things depending on where the person is in the world with their localized clock. Even if the email had a standard time, people would still have to calculate the offset of the hours and there can be mistakes with that.

The clock as it is is a necessary evil. At an absolute maximum, allow the localized clock as a option, not something forced.

Agreed. There is no 'local time' in space, and particularly when you are spanning time zones. The best anyone could hope for is setting a local time in the options, and having the eve time display that when you hover over it.

Anyways, great changes, go devs!

Hey, is it possible to separate the chats into a button for each? that way you dont have to open that chat button then the one you want. ie have ones you use more often have at top and one click and its open, vs multiple clicks to get your chat window open

Now please put a [b]standings filter in Local window Member List[b] to make this feature MEGA AWESOME! Cool

Indeed, as long as we are using Local Chat for free no effort intel, it is indeed awesome. Now you want to be able to filter local so all you see is the reds.

Wow.

For heaven's sake. Get rid of free no effort intel. Make local delayed in unimproved nulsec, as it is in w-space. Intel shouldn't be free.

If you don't like it, move to W-Space.

I would also love to see local chat list be filterable by standings although I think there would have to be a nerf of 0.0 anomalies, plexes etc to go along with it since it would make it near impossible to catch ratters (not that it already isn't very difficult unless they are a mongoloid or alseep). Either that or introduce delayed local with no filtering by standings and let us make even more isk in 0.0. I prefer the latter option.

Remove Hisec Local. Or Nerf incursion rewards.Roll

But seriously folks, if I wanted to spam the dscan to avoid getting shot, and wanted to have to probe around for a chance to find someone to shoot, I'd be living in a WH.

If local were removed from Null, I'd simply stop making my isk there. You think the Sanctum nerf depopulated null? Just wait until local gets nerfed. Unless of course nullsec grunt income rose to a level similar to WH space. In which case, it would still depopulate null a bit, or require a few alts to watch the gates.

Great changes. I like the way you will release these when ready rather than on some annoying "cram everything into a 2 times per year cycle so we can beat a drum about all the new crap".

Next small feature:

An Away From Keyboard toggle (like using the online icon but perhaps in yellow) that players can click to show they are not 'active'. Even better would be if it automatically went yellow after a predefined period (15 minutes?) of client/player inactivity then back to green when active. You'd solve the "AFK cloaker ruined my planned day of mining" whines right there too.

Cheers.

So long as you can set it to never show inactive, sure. But you're just inviting a mouse-jiggling script by forcing it to toggle.

AFK cloaking is a valid tactic.

They can't hurt you when you're AFK.
