PSA thing: there is no double Aurum bonus deal, evidently.

I forgot how much Aurum you got per purchase, and was thinking about getting some for the cap ship skin sale. Right on the page, I see an add for "Double Aurum Bonus", implying at least to me that this offer was going on, and that it wasn't just a placeholder or ad for something that's already gone by.

I wasn't going to purhcase any in the first place, but assumed (I know, my fault entirely) that the deal in the picture was legit. So I bought the $50 option for a total of what was advertised as 12,500. Surprise surprise, I didn't get the extra Aurum.

So yeah. If you're thinking about buying, make sure you know what you're buying and don't impulse buy while you're half way out the door to work just because you see a false ad.

I just logged on. I'll give it a shot, but since I made the assumption, I don't exactly feel entitled to it. I'm the one at fault here for not verifying if there was a deal or not. I'd like to think I'm an honest person...

Not to put too fine a point on it, the subject line of your thread is rather accusatory for a situation into which you (later) admit you really haven't looked. In my book, that sort of going off half-cocked and making inflammatory statements about something someone has but scant understanding could qualify as being "dishonest". Rather than think of oneself as honest, it's probably better to go ahead and be honest. It may be more demanding, but I hear it's worth it in the end.

Am I annoyed by the false advertising? Yes. But I accept that it was my responsibility as a consumer to verify what I am buying before I buy it. If CCP sees fit to give me the AUR considering the circumstances, that's their decision. But I'm not going to ask for it, because in the end I take responsibility for my actions.

And I'm not going to stop buying from CCP over this incident, because I realize that mistakes happen in businesses and they've built up more than enough good will with me that I've got no problem overlooking this.

I posted this PSA to inform people, not as an underhanded way to get back at CCP, or whatever you think I'm doing.

This must be the Aurum Double Deal you're talking about. I don't see an expiration date and since the ad is still up and running the offer should still be good.

The Regular Sale :

$9.99 = 1800 Aur + 200 free = 2,000 Aur total

$24.99 = 4500 Aur + 650 free = 5,150 Aur total

$49.99 = 9000 Aur + 1,750 free = 10,750 Aur total

$99.99 = 18000 Aur + 5,000 free = 23,000 Aur total


The Double Deal offer applies to the free Aurum that's included with the regular sale.

The Double Deal :

$9.99 = 1800 Aur + 400 free = 2,200 Aur total

$24.99 = 4500 Aur + 1,300 free = 5,800 Aur total

$49.99 = 9000 Aur + 3,500 free = 12,500 Aur total

$99.99 = 18000 Aur + 10,000 free = 28,000 Aur total


So for $50.00 you should have a total of 12,500 Aur credited to your account. If not then submit a Support Ticket asap.

This is what the Aurum page shows

It clearly states double bonus meaning that instead of getting 10,750 you should be getting 12,500.

I'd say that's pretty clear as day wouldn't you?
