Beware the 1 day old toons!

I was in low sec and scanning for sites when I see a 1 day old toon in system with probes up. I decide to sit in the only relic site and wait to see if this person will come in, and I'm suspecting this is an alt as the female toon was wearing a Sisters combat suit with less than 24 hours of life. However, sometimes new players come into the game having bought a few plex.

The only reason I would even attack a 1 day old newbie is because I want the site and have sat cloaked and watched new players in wormholes blow the sites for lack of skills. Waste not want not.

Wasn't even thinking about a skill injected alt.

After waiting for about 10 minutes I decide to start doing the site to see what would happen, and she uncloaks in a nemesis. I know immediately I'm going to have a problem as she has to be skill injected. Don't have hardly any gunnery skills on this toon, but do have excellent drone skills.

I drop curator II sentries as I have some distance and take her shield away and some armor, but she gets under the sentries and the next notify tells me they are missing. I've been moving and am not near the sentries so I immediately abandon drones and launch hammer IIs but she has me into armor and while the hammers get her into structure, her next round of inferno torps have me in the same position. My tank isn't set up to tank vs thermal. I have pulled distance and am no longer disrupted, but decide to hang in there as I believe I can take her down with the next round from the hammers. The nemesis is a good choice here, but my drones prevail.

This was a fun fight and I'm not bragging on the kill really, and thumbs up to this person for a good tactic. I am mediocre when it comes to pvp, (I have a pvp alt) but I do engage in it. I've been against the skill injectors, but I think they may be adding a new dimension of "fog of war" that the game didn't have. You can't take anything for granted now. It adds some excitement to the game.

Mainly was posting to say..... Danger lurks everywhere now. Beware the 1 day old toons! Lol.

Yeah you cant use age as a gauge anymore, its the only apreciable impact injectors have had on pvp, checking killboards is way more reliable, if someone is terrable at eve their sp doesent matter, be it 5 mill or 500mill it should be indicated on their kb.

Not saying kb is the measure of skill, mine is fantastic and i suck at eve (solo anyway) but its something to go on.

when the maps for the skill were introduced some of the memembers dont even have maps and now with the no skillpoint reduction and learning of teh skill early it mean that a 1 day can be highskilled and take down a better player. this is a must beware at all said.
