Please CCP, tell me that this new chimera model is still in dev
I cannot look at this ugly fat ass anymore...
I was a little bit desappointed yesterday not to see this with the update

This picture is in the "EVE Universe: The Art of New Eden" book, that means it will be integrated in the game on day or another, right ? :-)

is anyone else want this chimera model in the game too ?

I believe it might have something to do with the fact that the image you have in fact showed up just before CCP announced it's intentions with Citadels and, more importantly, the subsequent changes intended for carriers. They may have in turn postponed the update to make pertinent changes to better reflect the fact that carriers in Eve are no longer the carriers of old. I think the very same picture in fact shows parts of the ship being visual representations of shield and capacitor transfers, which wouldn't make as much sense now than it did before. Maybe the Art guys wanted to redo it to be closer to what carriers are now that they are no longer cap logi.

Your question does happen to bring up yet another misery though...what about the Thrasher update (and I think there was even a third ship too)? Maybe CCP didn't like the seemingly common disapproval from players.

I hope they are merely delayed and not canceled projects. Art's been pretty good about their material and direction. Sure, some of the ship overhauls and new designs have looked a bit different that their older versions, but those are mostly personal pet peeves and opinionated gripes. I hope they keep doing what they're doing: making this game look better and better every time.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I never disliked the old model of the Chimera, but I admit, I like the giant *Rokh* model better.

I don't feel that model fits the Chimera as much as the current one does after the change. That one looks slim and fragile like something that would rely more on an active tank. The current one looks like it could get that 10m ehp. I would like them to make good on their promise to fix the scale issue with carriers they talked about when they announced this

My guess is that the art department is rather busy at the moment. I hope that at one time all capitals get a revamp. The Thanatos and Chimera in particular look pretty dated

Always good to see nullbears who would never use a chimera in combat try and wreck its perfectly fine current model with that ugly new crap.

That new model is loads uglier than the current one. Please don't turn my future ship into that flying turd.

Why Chimera? Wyvern looks hilarious. Aeon like half ate pie. I never get what is the priority of remodeling hulls...

Edit: not to mention space turd Revenant.

Caldari caps look pretty bad, but the chimera is far from the worst. God knows why they didn't think to turn their attention to the wyvern.

Thing is the worst.

I'd be happy if they scale some of the capitals to be more in proportion to each other, ie: the Nidhogger is literally half the size of the Archon and actually smaller than the Barghest...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
