(Mobile Scan Inhibitor) A fail

Requesting CCP to rethink mobile scan inhibitor. having it be comply visible on D is unreal for it. I understanding having it be super easy to combat scan, however it should have a reduced Dscan range to like 2 au. This way the other side actually has to play the game and warp around from time to time to so see if someone is hiding rather than just 14au dscan ooo look something is there HIDING.

I am not suggesting game breaking mechanics here just a reasonable reconsideration of an item.

the point is just to hide what type and number of ships not their location

item working as intended

Seconding Lugh's opinion. The point behind the Scan Inhibitor is to add uncertainty for BOTH the aggressor and defender... essentially making any potential fight more about "who is more confident" than anything else.

It was not designed to "hide" people.

the sad thing is though,
the initial idea behind them was outstanding.

I don't recall the thread, have a link.

Back to main topic:
Something to consider: nothing prevents you from dropping more than one scan inhibitor in a system. You can at least create false signals, in essence.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Aww you say that but you wouldn't of done it if you didn't love us.

I'd forgotten about that and now reminded I'm sad or hasn't become a thing. I could get way more into that then these glorified pos' we have planned for the next few years

Oh man I remember that thread. It was one of the most amazing ideas I've ever read.

I clicked that link and saw I already upvoted it.

I wish CCP made an area like that, it could be a lot of fun.

On topic of the thread, rather than hiding the module on dscan I'd prefer if it was made a bit cheaper, MTUs for example are way cheaper than they should be, making cyno inhibitor cheaper would be nice as well since it doesn't block all cynos (which should remain the case).

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.
