Does the Energy Neutralizer effect stack?

I was just playing around with some neuting setups in EFT and I noticed that, in EFT at least, no matter how many neut effects I apply to a target ship, the capacitor of the target ship will always have a little energy left in it.

Is this the case in Eve itself?

In other words, if I activate several Heavy Neuts against a frigate, I assume that it'd instantly empty the capacitor of the frigate?

Ah of course, that little regen amount after the tick might be what was throwing EFT off - many thanks!

All that needs to happen is that there is less GJs available than the module needs to operate at the moment in time which it cycles for it to shut off. Even if that little bit of regen was enough to turn it back on you'd have to hit it at exactly the right millisecond and even then you'd only get one cycle out of it.

TL;dr
When all of your opponent's stuff turns off he's not going to be sitting in a good place most likely. You needn't worry about tiny little amounts of regen.

Yes. Actually, one single heavy neut against a frigate will very likely be enough.

But keep in mind that neuts drain cap instantly and have cycle times. They drain the full amount right away, then you have to wait through the whole cycle before they drain again. Cycle times are approximately:

. 5-6 seconds for a small neut
. 10-12 for a medium
. 20-24 for a large

On the other hand, your opponent regenerates cap every second. This means, for example, that after sucking him dry with your heavy neut, he'll have 20 seconds + of cap regeneration, during which time your neut will do absolutely nothing.

Basic advice is:

. If neuting with multiple neuts, stagger them for maximum effectiveness over time
. Don't use just heavy neuts. Having 1-2 heavies and 1-2 mediums or even smalls can help keeping opponents capped out
. If you're on the receiving side, i.e. being neuted, spam your modules because you will have the chance to activate them at least partially. Ungroup guns if you want to try to get some shots in.

The OP's name is in white on the forum list and the character is in Doomheim I do believe that means she has been biomassed.
