The shield recharge time is 1 BILLION seconds ? That is, 11574 days, or 31 and a half years. Seriously ? Most of the eve playerbase is younger than that :)

Not to mention the rate... for an Astrahus, this means ONE lousy HP every two and a half minutes.

Better say no recharge .

Tell everyone in your corp to go buy a cheap Osprey (or Bantam if they can't fly cruisers), install a couple of remote shield boosters (and cap rechargers) and fire away at your shiny new citadel.

Well that's handy, when nobody is around to shoot at it.

The repair cycle begins the moment someone shoots it. it will then pause. as long as the opponent can apply any damage for 4 hours it will remain in repair cycle. I think after 4 hours it unpauses. if at any time during repair cycle, damage is stopped for 15 min, the citadel will automatically repair in full.

the point is to blow your opponent the **** up

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

They are nothing like a POS:

Expect that when you try deploy your Citadel, if you can be attacked within the 15 minute window of opportunity there may well be someone there to attack it - Its not like finding a POS being Anchored these fat arsed things have a BIG BLUE kill me Target over them.

Wormholes are a-fly with groups running up and down chains looking for targets - Like searching for PVP content It will probably become the norm for these groups to kill Citadels in anchor-vulnerability.

If your a wormhole corp and have a high sec expect to loose your citadel - Anyone want to buy the location of a Citadel being anchored in C1 J112934 ... aww sorry to late already destroyed

In High-sec - if you are seen within the first 15 minutes of Anchoring - Kiss your Citadel goodbye as a war deck at this time will give the Attacker an undefended target and you will have to rely on your own fleet to defend it ... If you are too small for your "OWN FLEET" fleet and most kills of un-established Citadels have been by groups of 25- 50 ships expect to hire a lot of mercs - Actually its your own fault for not being a drone and joining a big corp.

If you do get one setup - Then when you are war-decked your best option is to target the neutral logi ships with ECM - how many slots do you have for them ? ...... and can you actually target neutrals in highsec?

Yeah I need to read up on this stuff and how it works, clearly I'm not up-to-date :)
