With all the changes to SOV mechanics / Capital mechanics and Fighter Changes with drones and crap getting placed all over, I would like to make a suggestion.

A one time consolidation button that would consolidate all assets to a station of choice. The reason is that after playing for years, and the changes that have been made to SOV, I think it would be a nice gesture on CCP's part to say, "that because we are radically changing the game you have invested so much time in, we are graciously allowing you to consolidate your assets in a location of YOUR choosing. Because we (CCP) can continuously give ourselves "do-overs" you the player base should get at least one "do-over" as well."

Reasoning here is that assets that I cannot get too are useless and provide no opportunity for content generation. And unlike Phobe changes (you know the kind that only effected a small percentage of the player base) this consolidation would be for everyone, all nice and fair like.

All ranting aside, another reason is that with citadels came a change that now prevents players from contracting items in their assets window from a distance. While I think that most of the changes are good, I disagree with a mechanic that takes an inordinate amount of time to do simple tasks. While my conscience can be beamed across the galaxy to a waiting clone, I cannot make a simple contract transaction unless in the same region??? Not cool CCP. Let us consolidate please for the love of all that is holy.

I am not asking for everything...stuff in space stays in space. Just a one time hanger consolidation.

Actually, I do have stuff in VALE, and about 75 other places in EVE, and at one point in time it was only moderately difficult to get around to collect it, given enough cyno's and a long Saturday. Now, however it is a mind numbingly argues process to consolidate assets regardless of where they are. On top I think that this type of reprieve from unwarranted complexity would go a long way to possibly bring back those that left because of the Phoebe catastrophe.

Also this speaks to the now defunct contract mechanism that would have allowed me to at least put stuff up on contract. Now I have to fly around to each region to do that. In a game that already takes hours to play at any given sitting, please don't make it even longer to do simple stuff.

And you probably do not have any problem with the magical teleportation of assets to other places when citadels get destroyed...so the concept is not new to CCP or their way of thinking. Kinda blows a hole in your asset denial tactic...

Present situation aside, as someone who has been involved in SOV warfare, I could care less if peoples crap is stuck in the station. It truly does not matter. If you have been playing EVE for any amount of time, things just get left behind.

While I agree with you whole heartedly about using player run services, I would rather insist CCP fix my issues, like everyone else.

Make it a timed event, i.e. You can only do this during the month of October in conjunction with EVE Vegas, then never again...unless of course CCP changes the game so dramatically that it become necessary

Even this is hilariously exploitable, thanks to alts. One Plex (currently ~900m) lets you essentially move any amount of stuff from any number of points to one place.

EvE is about meaningful choices that have consequences. Take away the consequences, and the meaning goes with it. Yes moving needs to be addressed more fully in the post Phoebe world, and yes, I have done a TON of moving and logistics since the changes, but this is not the answer.

I personally evacuated Lawn and Bastion from Vale and the window to post courier contracts was over a week. Where were you?

Don't forget people who would buy lowsec and nullsec stuff, not to mention moving stuff from one hub to another without the risk of having freighters ganked.

Oh yeah and moving capitals.

This thing would be more broken than anything else in the entire history of eve.

This is the worst idea I have seen in a while. Just move your stuff like the rest of us... If you have too much to move, you failed to plan properly, well, that's part of Eve.

PS - if there is anything I can do to help you move, let me know via alliance communications, but please don't post terrible suggestions on these forums.
