Ratting in Carriers : worth it ? and others questions.

Hello,


Since the Citadel release, Carriers and Fighters have changed a lot, so I ask myself about ratting in Carrier ?

Compared to ratting in BS (T1 one, navy, marauder), in which way a Carrier is better ?

Better DPS ? Or other benefits ?

And what about reds, I suppose the risks are the same as with a BS ? Or there is some specific issues ?

For a Haven or Sanctum, at what distance do you warp at the anomaly ?

And last questions, if you have some nice ratting fittings to share, it will be nice 

A lot of people currently rat in blinged-out Pirate Battleships/Marauders which add up heavily in ISK-value.

In my opinion though, people will go out of their way to kill a carrier as opposed to a Machariel/Rattlesnake/Etc...

I personally would like to see more ratting in carriers, however every null-sec entity has their own rules, and I fully understand and support entities that wish to not rat in carriers.

As for the details specific to warp-ins and such, I dont know.

Carrier Ratting will only work for you if you like the following things:

WAY more isk than you can get by using a battleship of any kind. (55 mil ticks are low end btw)

WAY safer than using anything else (because the entire time you can be aligned to a bookmark in space)

WAY easier to fight back if you have to (because unlike a battlehship, you can fit up to resist a small gang for several minutes and now you have these kick ass fighters than will actually instapop most player sub caps that try to kill you).

It's no longer a passive'afk activity, you work for that isk, but its way more fun now.
