What ideas for Eve do you never want to see proposed again?

Every day, people post ideas to change Eve. Some are cool, some require work, but some of them are so horrible that the threads spawn a million and one detailed explanations on why they are bad. Unfortunately, an even smaller subset of those keep coming up, wasting everyone's time and rage-energy.

What ideas to change Eve would you rather would never come up ever again (but most likely will anyway)?

I'll start with my top three:


  • SP re-assignment
  • Organized PvP "arenas"
  • Line of sight combat mechanics

- WASD flight control, line of sight combat, and any other physically impossible feature
- Remove Llvl4 from hisec or anything meaning "fuk hiseccers so they are forced to move out"
- reassign SP, practice-gives-SP, leveling and other absolutely non-EVE mechanics

Warp to Zero Auto Pilot.
Removing Warp to Zero.
Capchas for anything.
PvP Flags.
Ships with more Mining Yield.
Controllable NPC Ships.
NPC Hauling.
Remove Killmails.

since ship combat is entirely computerized, LoS is pointless, YOUR not shooting at targets, your ship itself is.

"remove PVE in general"

guys EVE is intended to be a sandbox, shouldn't be forced into doing one thing, i for one mine AND mission run, and later will do wormhole ops... maybe when i get a bit more ballsy and get more skilled ill go into lower sec ops.

although i like what im seeing, i think CCP could do more, but then again i played WoW, i played GW... i think the industry is stale, your going to say an MMO sucks regardless of which one you pick thats just how it is now, why innovate when everyone else is doing the exact same thing? kind of makes me look forward to GW2 in a way at least it appears to be different.

Some new range of T2 ships with no defined role beyond a gankier, tankier version of the existing T1 hull and based on nothing more than the writer wanting to see that T1 hull in a different colour scheme.

1) The Nex Store as a MT cash shop.

Fix: Arum should be eliminated and Isk should be the universal currency in EVE. Players should build everything in in the NeX.

2) The CSM.

Fix: Disband them and use the money saved to fund a real community relations dept.
