Hi everyone,

Apologies in advance if these questions have been asked ten times since Wednesday morning, but I can't seem to extrapolate the answers from info in dev blogs or other forum posts.

Basically i'm wondering...

As an average joe industrialist who spends his time queuing up research/copying slots with some mining/manufacturing on the side, how practical is it for me to be considering Citadels for small/growing operations at this point in time?

I'm familiar with the current POS system, and was considering a large tower for labs/ore compression.

Are fuel costs going to be similar to the current POS system?

What will the structures themselves cost? (I see buy orders at major trade hubs ranging in the billions)

Is there a date set for Citadels to be fully integrated? What about a date for POS's to be taken out of the game?

I don't currently have a POS set up, so it's hard to decide if I should just wait for Citadels or buy a POS then sell it when Citadels arrive.

Thanks.

May have finally found some answers. There seems to be a lot of speculation but manufacturing arrays and research arrays aren't arriving until at least the fall...?

May go for a POS after all, looks like the full implementation of citadels is a fair ways off yet.

Thanks for reading anyway o7

Just use POS if you are doing this alone and it sounds like you arent actually manufacturing THAT much.
Citadels are for groups of people, atleast with current prices, when the arrays come then i might look into them after prices level a bit.

Different structures will have bonuses for different activities. Citadels are primarily administrative, market and defensive - a place to live and shop. The structures coming this fall and winter - industrial arrays and drilling platforms - will provide a place to work.

I'm not sure it will be economical to buy one for solo use but you will be able to rent an office and use the facilities in someone elses structure. The new structures should achieve feature parity with POS by next Spring. Expect CCP to start a buyback program for the old towers and add more economic incentives to move to the new structures around then.
