The fleet was nailed when they were all jumping onto the system Gate. The Ragnarok was parked around 100 km out from the Gate. Either the pilot predict when the fleet would arrive, or he started prepping the Doomsday the moment the first ship arrived. Once it fired, an entire fleet of Cerberus ships and their support were annihilated in 15 seconds (pods too).

I bet many veteran players have not seen this kind of carnage from a Doomsday since the days when Doomsdays were fleet-wiping smartbombs.

Note that the Lance is supposed to take signature radius into account. Against a cruiser the damage should be somewhere around 2000 DPS before resists. This is currently broken.

Totally agree.

Fighters from Carriers are killing pods when they land on station, before they can dock even. Totally crazy the current situation.

On this Citadel side of things, this expansion seems ok. On the Capitals side of things, it's typical CCP incompetent implementation. Larrikin should go chat to Nullabor about how to do things properly.

Yes, I got that. Just added in to it too.

It's not meant to be the way it is, but still contnibutes to the incompetent way the Capital changes have been implemented, in addition to some of the ways they were conceived.

In my opinion, working as intended. Finally capitals can do some crazy stuff instead of merely fight other capitals. Probably took quite a bit of setup for that kill. If they would of bounced from a planet instead of a straight warp. They would of completely avoided it. Loving it.

Reading through the /r/eve thread, I'm not sure if working as intended, or something wrong with the math in implementation.

One thing's for certain, warping a fleet to 0 on gate when there's a neutral in system is a risk again.

I remember my first days in null as a total noob fighting against the likes of PL, Goons and RA down in the south.

I distinctly remember "DD tanking and double DD tanking" was a thing on battleships. Is that possible now? Will the days of DD tanking make a return? Twisted

Oh it took resists into account, according to the devs. The problem seemed to be that sig radius wasn't taken into account in the equation.
