Awesome stuff.

One thing that would make the condensed chat list even more awesome is ability to sort the chat window first on standings. (IE all your war targets, reds, neuts, blues, copies, ect.....)

Nothing worse than scanning a system with 120 pilots looking for WTS and having to scroll local to do so. Or from the carebear's perspective having to constantly scroll up and down to see if a WT jumpned in or logged on in system.

Make it so...

To you and the gazillion other people making this or similar proposals. A chat window should have never become the ultimate intel gathering tool of this MMO - don't ask for it to be developed into a gameplay feature any further. It's bad gamedesign. Instead think of alternatives!

The reality is though that it did become and will remain that way for a long time, since CCP has put no effort in to changing it. Even in the case alterations are made to it, it will likely remain the way it is now in some areas of space. Its use as an intel tool is somewhat besides the point, since what we ask isn't to get more info, but basic sorting function for the info that is already there. That way we can focus on flying internet spaceships and spend less time scrolling up and down the local list when playing. It's a convenience fix, that makes the gameplay experience better for the people constantly using local and currently that is most players in the game including you. Besides, no matter what becomes of the local in the future, that sorting functionality will still be something that is more convenient and better then the current system and therefore will remain a requested feature.

Which is true, and I agree. However I'm worried that this might be all that will be done regarding this issue. The low hanging fruit would have been harvested and the 'promised' revamp of intel gathering mechanisms forgotten.

I could see a change where local just simply does not display a player's name until they chat within the system, similar to how things are done for NPC corp chat. However, to even the playing field, we should probably also then remove the selectable "My Corp Members in Space" button as another intelligence tool when a corp has been infiltrated. Or make it a privilege that the corp CEO has to grant a member.

It would be great of u would add i range column in watch list. It would be a great addition for keeping a proper distance to anchor for dps or logis during fights.

Cool, so now I have a new way to accidentally turn off my modules... Har har.

Would it be possible to change the cursor when shift is pressed and the cursor is over a module?

You know BFF has been working on little things for a year or so, nobody noticed until Crucible Blink

But nothing makes me happier than everyone being super happy about our changes Big smile

I noticed and I'm sure others did, but I think it got drowned out by the fact that it wasn't company wide rather than seemingly one off. But on the bright side, now that everyone's looking at all of the changes and improvements in a more noticeable and positive way, you get to ride on into the sunset and find more little things to fix.

any chance we get the option back where we can select "auto set" trough corp/alliance?
It got removed the day we needed to select standing to add someone to the watch list

Hi!

Here‘s a few more little things from Team BFF to make your life easier. We didn‘t have much time for doing this so we mostly just harvested good ideas from the forums and prioritized by how much work it would be to implement them (and things that I personally find annoying when playing EVE - heh).

I truly wish CCP forced more time/ppl on this BBF improvements and and lower a bit development on dust / next expansion /neocom/ ect/ ect ect? Big smile

oh and +1 @ local Big smile
