I cannot figure out why, but my launcher has completely stopped working as far as i can tell. when i pull it up it wont get past the blank white screen with the words "Checking GUI version..." at least for the twenty or so minutes i have let it sit there so far. I have restarted my computer several times and uninstalled/reinstalled eve a couple of times as well. Any idea on what I might be missing, like some oth that would stop my launcher from working would appreciated.

Try deleting the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\QtWebEngine. This is where the web gui caches any data - if there is a corrupt file, for whatever reason, this will ensure it gets downloaded again.

Thx for the help snorlax, I sort of fixed it but the problem was with some of my virus protection I was messing around with. Stupid mistake on my part, I think I'll just leave all that alone now

Can you give us more details? We've had sporadic reports with similar symptoms but have never figured out anything conclusive. More details might help others that run into this issue.

Sorry, I didn't check back for a reply XD i am pretty sure all I did was uninstall a part of my virus protection on my computer, I thought it was old and needed to go, but apparently i was wrong and when I reinstalled it everything was fine.
