Gas Cloud Mining - Nebula hotspots?

Greetings,

I've been trying to find a certain nebula within it's specified constellation hotspot, however after multiple consecutive scanning runs throughout the constellation the nebula has yet to come up. I've scanned literally every single sig through 7 systems and have not found it.

Before I took my break from EVE I was able to find this nebula in it's hotspot constellation whenever I set out to find it, so I'm not completely new at this, but frustration is setting in.

Have there been any changes to the gas nebula hotspot mechanic recently? Am I out there looking for something that isn't there anymore?

Any insight would be appreciated.

No changes, I even find the "good" sites all over the region. It is possible to clear a site in about 30 minutes solo, maybe someone is just faster than you.

I think the "hotspot" constellation mechanic is a myth, or outdated. I find gas sites all over the region, even the good sites.
