SJW's will protest in front of CCP HQ to have them removed because little billy in the USA saw bewbies. Then CNN and the social media will pick on it culminating with Hilmar playing HTFU on live TV.

I would buy a lifetime sub to the game if Hilmar did that.

If you don't like them just don't point your view at them. having a turn off option would defeat the point of it being a billboard/display.

Its a place for inworld related content to be displayed, and opens up the ability to show things to a much wider audience. In my book that's pretty frickin awesome and welcome.

Really some of you people will moan about anything Roll

The issue is you're taking something almost universally hated, advertisements, and putting them in the game in a way we didn't have to deal with before. There are also the bandwidth concerns for those of us stuck with evil ISPs because the videos seem to be downloading repeatedly instead of being cached after the first time.

If we don't like them, we're not gonna pay attention to what they're displaying much anyway, and it would be better if we could just turn them off entirely and not waste bandwidth. Those that like them would leave them on and look at them from time to time. At least when they were just in CQ you could always just not use CQ (I don't like CQ anyway, so it was an easy choice).

And yes, complaining is fun.

Loving the new interiors. The screens seem like the old gallente hubs used to have but yeah some consideration for bandwidth users would be nice. I personally am not one of them. I find that its annoying mostly cuz of the fact they are cut off so I just get the "flashes" issue which is quite distracting at times on other monitors when docked.

Other than that I got no dog in this fight. Twisted

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I think the addition of the screens is awesome, makes the station seem more alive.

Some of us don't particularly want stations to look alive because we're trying to concentrate on things other than meaningless background details.

Do you also produce salt when CCP updates the space backgrounds, ship details etc.?

I need to be able to turn off the lights in the captains quarters when I leave.
It seems like such a waste of station electricity to leave all that stuff on 24/7.
Specially when I'm sleeping on the bed that I can't stretch all the way out in, like to turn off the lights and tv's you know...

No, because those things aren't decreasing the framerate of other clients while actively making it harder to concentrate on the windows I have open in front of the hangar scene.

LOL.... "universally hated"? I like dramaz as much as the next person, but please....

This thread is only 3 pages so far.... if it was as "universal" as you say it is.. we should be at page 30 by now.

I personally like it and you can always turn away the camera if you don't like it, as well, the default docking camera doesn't even show them unless your turning the camera.

I think publicly your moaning about it, but secretly your checking it out just like everyone else.

Don't worry I won't tell anyone.
