turn'em off turn'em off turn'em off turn'em off........................
nothin but ads, they suck and I'll not play with those obscene marketing blobs trashing my hangars.
3 years in, 3 accounts, 3 purpose built computers, and I'll take a hammer to all of it before I play as long as they keep trashing up my hangars.

I rather like it, nice job CCP

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Maybe my resolution is too low, but the top of the screen is cut off, and I can't move the camera enough to see the whole screen.

I'm quite happy with the hangar changes despite this, though.

Eh? What?

There used to be an option to disable captain's quarters and have a static background in station, but they removed that back in March. If that option was still around it would help a great number of things including not having to see the screens.

Station TVs are a waste. Can't wait for the turn them off option..

Put some Imperium ads up....pop popcorn and watch reddit go mad and demand them to able to be turned off.

Undock.

It's more fun being outside anyway.

Or are you part of the CFC?

I like the TV. Would be great if it shows news and stories about Eve. Past trailers with subtitles are also good contents for the station TV.

Turn on CQ and find a hidey hole, like in the walkway or beside the Door.

As far as I know, none. The videos have already been downloaded to the client, which just puts them up on the screen from your computer.

Nice

As far as positioning goes in amarr stations they are perfect match in caldari ones they are way too high did not dock in min or gal ones.

Exactly my point.

Well, almost exactly - it was of no use if, like me, you couldn't stand the sterile static background and inability to rotate your ship.

And it was of great use if, like me, you couldn't stand rendering the whole hangar scene when you never look at it anyway. Hence why options are nice.

You can turn it off.

Throwing in my vote/opinion for at least an option to turn off the hangar screens, they're very annoying to me and apparently many others. So give us the option to turn them off or leave them on.

So yeah, they're very ugly but there are other issues. Since the update it seems like framerate in station is noticeably lower than before, and now a fair bit lower than in space. It also seems like the videos are not cached and take far more bandwidth than Eve would normally take. For those of us with annoyingly low data limits, Eve is one of the few online games we can play, but if my numbers for today are correct that may no longer be the case.

I don't want to pay more real money for internet just to look at ads for other alliances. That's the kind of thing people go out of their way to block on web pages, and now we have to deal with it in the game too.

This can be quite the issue in the U.S. and Canada. I'm not sure what the situation in other countries may be. But if CCP would still like the 'non-$1000 jeans' crowd to remain subscribed and active, things like bandwidth concerns need to be remembered. An option to turn off and on some high-bandwidth items should be implemented and these screens look like a proper candidate.

Again, remember, some of us are stuck under a monopoly or duopoly of ISPs that have no problem with robbing us at the slightest excuse. If you want the players under these conditions to remain in the game, this has to be considered.

SJW's will protest in front of CCP HQ to have them removed because little billy in the USA saw bewbies. Then CNN and the social media will pick on it culminating with Hilmar playing HTFU on live TV.

I too would like an off switch, but if its like past requests for said off switches, CCP will just tell us its a 'cop out' to have an off switch.

Why a switch on/off? Because the new animation doesn't add anything to gameplay and it's graphically annoying. In other words, it's worse than bad: it's useless. Simple as that. - Kina Ayami
