As I was a retainer on the Sarum team, it's no secret that I was supporting Sarum from the start. However, I obviously stand with the Empire and pledge my loyalty to our new divinely appointed Empress. God doesn't make mistakes.

All hail Empress Catiz!

I hope longer than the Federation.

Long live the Empress!

Perhaps it is intended as a service to ease the Imperial transition? I know that, for me, it makes ritualistic suicide look very attractive.

So Khanid, one of the greatest military minds in the last millenia, now languishes, awaiting the ritual suicide he avoided three centuries ago. His heir states he is ready to carry on a leader of House Khanid...but I see little to indicate that the Kingdom will ever be what it once was. The Kingdom will become an historical footnote. A tourist attraction. And all the people we've killed, all the Khanid who have died for this 300 year-long rebellion would have died in vain. To add insult, the Empress who will reabsorb the "Kingdom" is of the same House that replaced the Kingdom. House Sarum. House Kor-Azor, the others, they lost an Heir. If Khanid the man dies, Khanid the Kingdom dies with him.

Whoever gets elected, honeybunch.

The Federation has literally millions of GalNet sites that are capable of explaining the civil election process, many in terms simple enough that a five-year-old child could grasp it. I could direct you to one - but perhaps "Democracy For Toddlers" would be more your speed?

Ooo...I like this one!

Cute and snarky!

I'll look for that Site. It can sit on my computer next to "How To Rig An Election and Make Your Opponents Have An Accident."

Make sure you also watch the instructional videos on maintaining voter apathy via capitalist consumption and misinformation via mass media controlled by special interests.

We all already know that the Federations being a 'democracy' is a lie - so whether the Federation as people perceive it really exists at all is already in question.

Does this new empress 'party' (cough cough go to orgies cough cough) like the last one did?

As I recall, that old adage is attributed to totalitarian regimes conducting sham "elections" of the type where the Dear Leader is unopposed and receives 100% of the vote.

Our elections operate at every level of society from the smallest local council or magistrate to the Presidency of the Federal Union. If your comment was meant as a serious accusation of corruption, then you've apparently come across evidence of the most audacious and widespread conspiracy of all time. If it's meant as an idle insult towards the legitimacy of our way of life, it would be akin to me speculating that Amarrian "nobility" amounts to which so called great houses were earliest in adopting the concept of rutting with their sisters to keep the family lines "pure."

Which would be a most undiplomatic kind of a thing to say, on such a grand occasion as this...

Perhaps someone of your stature should think before they pile into the petty trolling.

I think that the Presidential election of twelve years ago was pretty much the definition of a sham election.

And? Are you so unhappy about your new Empress that you can't restrain yourself from impotent insults?

I think you folks should return to the subject Empress Catiz's happy ascension. That is what this topic is about, right?

I'd ask you to return to the topic at hand as well, Cpt. Vero. It seems to me, though, that the people you adress are ahead of you in that respect: They at least already contibuted to the OT. So, instead of the original question - for which you don't qualify, obviously - can I ask you politely to either contribute something to the original subject of this thread, Cpt. Vero, or get yourself out of here? Would make it easier for everyone else to stay on topic as well.
