Hi,

is it possible to put 4 probes into formation, i am rookie in this game and have mission for agent, my probes are not in formation and i can not join them together anymore .... if i recall them into ship and releas them again they are still in the same formation before i took them in ? tutorials from eve are useles becose they heve one with 8 probes, and 8 probes you can always put into formation

That is very outdated info, you should probably ignore anything you read from that source as EVE has changed quite a bit over time.

You just need to deploy them and change the formation. The two defaults are "pinpoint" and "spread". You can also set your own formations.

I use five 'cause I'm just that good. Four? You need that center focus. Minimum? Go with five.

If we get chased by zombies, I'm tripping you.

FYI, you can use as many probes as you want.

You can disable individual probes. Explore the probe window Blink

I still like to do one-probe scans to quickly identify signature types by their size (relative signal strength). Example: One-probe scan, sort the results by signal strength, and notice that there are roughly 3 groups of signal strengths: 1x 2x 4x. Wormholes tend to be 4x, with a very few exceptions. High-quality sites tend to be 1x, so I target those first. Of course you may find only 1x 4x, but if you only see 1x 2x or 2x 4x they are not distinguishable until you identify at least one site.

Sphere size should give you the same information without even launching probes.....

Was ages ago when you had to train for more probes. These days you get 8 and you can place them as you like or a standard 2 formations: spread and pinpoint.
