Loot wrecks for ammo, possibly.
Try to get the thing that's scramming you stuck on the environment.

To be honest here, asking in local isn't necessarily a bad idea. There are actually quite a few nice folks in this game that might help you out. I've played with gankers and pirates that actually do have a nice side to them... I know it's shocking! Hell if anything offer them some isk as a reward for helping out perhaps?

However, if the system is relatively quiet and doesn't have a lot of losses recently I'd perhaps try to leave ship and come back with another if close enough by. Since a lot of missions in various systems are mostly close by that shouldn't be an issue.

Out of ammo
Out of drones
No alt
no mjd
no mwd
no ewar (ecm, wcs, nuets, damps, etc)
No friends you can trust to call or none online
And no ur not flying a lazor ship

Your tank and cap are stable and you can just tank the room so logging might get you killed. Your flying a faction fit bs this will not be a cheap loss. (just pretend your not mr moneybags in this scenario pls)

Call for help in local, can you trust them? Could be a savior or could be a juicy gank mail.
Take the loss and learn? Eject and hope ur ship doesn't explode or get stolen.

What would you do?

Channel your inner Captain Kirk?

Calling for help? Well you never know what could happen, but what do you have to lose? It may well be possible you are being attacked by people who got past a gate or station camp that they are afraid of, and you might end up calling them in. Of course those campers might turn around and then pick up where your attackers left off but maybe if you are lucky (and aligned) you might escape in a very short window.

It'll have your blood pumping - certainly a better outcome then sitting there waiting to pop.

It would be of note not to be "pre-shamed" from doing something like that by the sort of player that will take any word you put in local as "tears" and then go make you the centerpiece of their blog. But make sure you and the attackers are not the only ones in local at least. That is, don't be afraid to say something as it might lead to a different outcome than the usual lowsec OMGWTFBBQPRN that makes lowsec such the crowded and content-filled place it is.

You can wait until downtime. However, while you are at it slowboat away. Unless the DT is particularly close NPC's will fly back to their spawn point once you have dragged them only few hundred km off it, at most.

Knowing the relevant game mechanics can avoid unneeded losses even in PvE ;)

If you are going to ask someone in local for help avoid chars with names like "death" or "skulls" or any other emo names or corp/alliance names.
You have no idea how many Iamdeath, Pirateman, KingofPVP and the like that I see happily AFK mining.

Names mean nothing in this game. Except mine. No one else could do Mr Epeen better than me.

Mr Epeen Cool

Backdoor Bandit was pretty good at it though. That was before the new character portraits.
