The Code - Re-Recorded in HD With Music!

Hi All,

I first recorded the New Halaima Code of Conduct a couple of years ago now, I think. My audio gear wasn't very good, but luckily James 315's text made up for that.

Recently, Agent Jack van Impe of the New Order reminded me that there was no longer a working link to that file. I decided to fix the situation by re-visiting our Old Friend.

This fresh new version takes advantage of a much-needed upgrade to my gear, some choice sfx, and music.

The music takes the form of an anthem, 'The Code', which appears at the end of the piece. It's scored for orchestra and choir and benefits from the sort of treatment Tchaikovsky gave to the end of his 1812 Overture.

I really hope you'll give it a listen.

Amazing stuff.

Just when you think you have seen/heard it all, you drop a full-fledged anthem on us. Inspiring stuff - I think I'll go listen to it again!

This majestic hymn will be played at the Inauguration Day in the CODE. Alliance! Praise James! Hail the Code! Glory to the New Order and its exalted Agents and Knights!

With creative minds like Sasha's, the free will of the Highsec and the philosophy of HTFU will never be bent by anyone, no matter how hard they try! In due time, every miner will learn these lyrics by heart, give words of admiration to the Saviour of Highsec and the ones who walked that road alongside with him, and commemorate those who are, sadly, not with us anymore.

Most splendid work, Agent Sasha! أحسنت!!!
ليعيش جيمس 315 !!!
ليحي النظام الجديد لهايسيك !!!
عاش طويلا الشهداء !!!

I feel enriched for having listened to this recording of The Code, the anthem truly completes it.

When did I say you threatened me? relax mate. Have a snickers or something.

CODE was amusing for a while, gave the game a decent narrative and a break from the norm. It's just tired now. Time to move on and find a new gimmick for the meta.

EDIT: ah, I see, I touched a nerve, given what you do in game. My apologies. Keep up the noble work. I apologize for breaking up the C&P "ganking is l33t" circlejerk.

Looks like little Isaac is clueless about my ingame activities,
Ganking is still fun and will always be.

CODE. still lives and will continue to do so.
And I will continue to support them until all afk players are out of the game.
I will also continue doing whatever I want to do at any given day :)

As for the "ganking is l33tpvp" circlejerk that C&P has supposedly become, I believe you must learn that a good 80% of regular posters are indifferent towards CODE. although they love the tears provided from "grr CODE." posts.
The remainder are either CODE. or AG, or just some randoms that support or not one or the other.

So tl;dr:
C&P is not a CODE. circlejerk, it's only where people gather to extract salt, or talk about wars. Or just try to join my fanclub Blink

I'm fairly indifferent too. I'm hardly ever in HS, given how little challenge there is. I'm just saying the meta story behind CODE has worn off. They are just run of the mill gankers now (and there's nothing wrong with that), but they aren't significant to the meta storyline in EVE like they use to be.

Everyone loves tears. An afk miner rages on the forums, people bath in his tears. Freighter's HP get buffed, anti-gankers savor the tears of gankers. If we didn't like it none of us would be stick with EVE.

And you're right C&P isn't an anti-CODE circlejerk, it's an anti-carebear circlejerk, which is ironic given how risk free ganking and HS merc-ing is. Nothing wrong with those playstyles, do what you find fun. That's the beauty of a sandbox. It is a bit funny though.

Hello Isaac; a new face in the Den!

Nice of you to drop in and spend so very much time with us here, despite all but describing our Holy Mission as irrelevant.

I believe I was quite clear, above, in outlining the reasons for re-releasing a recording of The Code. Perhaps you would consider extending your stay in C&P by outlining precisely what it was that died out, and the mode of its disappearance.

Please, do pull up a chair and amaze us!

No thank you. I appreciate the offer though. I'm looking for meta relevant to the game as it is ATM.

Keep on trucking though.
