My EVE

I decided to make a quick and dirty overview pack for those who are super lazy or goons, using the in game client only. The Mailing list is called KisOver. When I update it, you'll get an eve mailing list mail, you click, done.


If a mailing list is too complicated, you can also pull it from my bio in game. Or, you can join my in game channel 'Kissist', which should allow you to talk to me if I'm logged in at the time.

The overviews:

1. standard - Normal day to day stuff like ratting, travelling, etc. Adds on important stuff like probes and bubbles and jump bridges.
2. pvp - Removes blues from overview, but not from seeing them in-space. Leaves on gates and other objects.
3. pvpclear - Removes blues from in-space as well, along with gates and everything else. Best for chaotic pointing situations.
4. drones - Shows you the drones, no other ships, allowing you to kill their drones or fighters.
5. logi - Kill their dedicated logi ships. Note, this does not show t1 frig/cruisers, but does show FAX
6. caps - Kill their capitals!
7. wrecks - Shows wrecks, other cruft you might be interested in, and works even if 'standard' was setup to do something different. (was blues)
8. escape - Shows you warp out spots, like moons, which are good for escaping. (was saver)

I have some screenshots to show what it looks like, along with more detail and my dog. Please let me know feedback in this thread in what you would like to see. I also have been running the Ubuntu eveo thread for the past few years as well, check it out if you're interested installing Linux. We have moved to a more general launcher though, so you shouldn't need it anymore.

2015/09/30 - I'm most likely going to remove the different sov objects from a few places. And I'll be updating it in the coming days to accommodate the latest patch, give me feedback soon so I can update it! I promise a new version by Saturday-ish
2015/10/05 - Subscriptions: 720ish. Updating sov objects, renamed a few tabs, cleaned escape.
2016/06/17 - Subscriptions: 1650. Added 4 types of rats, added three more tabs, Added Kissist channel.

There will not need to be a new release for Parallax. I will also be putting the overview in my 'show info' as well, for those who don't want a constantly updating one.

Thanks to a mail from LouHours, I went ahead and put color into my tabs. I wanted to keep it out but I guess I'm doing this from now on. If you go to my bio, you should see a link with the new colors, illustrated here:

I've been asked how to make a single ship overview:

1. Right click a tab and select the 'escape' overview as your active for that tab.
2. In your overview, right click planets moons and asteroid belts, and removing them from overview.
3. left click the four lines and click 'open overview settings'.
4. go to the 'tab presets | Types' settings and click on the ship you want, such as logistics.
6. (optional) Remove fleet friendlies by going to Tab Presets | States tab, and checking 'Filter out' on Pilot in your fleet. Or good standings and exellent standings too.
5. hit save, under a new name, like logistics.

Done.

Staged changes for Tuesday:
All tabs with NPCs - Entity / Astroid *
All tabs with stations - Structure / box for Citadel

Ignoring - Celestial - Super Weapon Beacon (!)

CCP put 8 overview tabs on Sisi https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/4n7k1k/eight_overview_tabs_on_sisi/ I'm interested to hear what other people will use theirs for. I would prefer to keep this somewhat serious in tone as I think the overview is the least developed and most important thing in the entire CCP UI.

I currently have:

• standard - day to day stuff.
• pvp - Shows only neutrals and worse, plus some standard stuff
• pvpclear - Same as pvp but strips out space junk, easy tackling.
• wrecks - Shows wrecks and cans and such.
• escape - GTFO quick, shows dictors and hictors as well.

I'm considering adding, in order:

• Drones - Show hostile drones to shoot at
• Logi - Like PVP, but logi specific (easily switchable to other ship types)
• Caps - For shooting/tackling all capitals.

I would appreciate any other ideas on this as well.

*PS. I'm joining BAT Country in PL, for those who keep asking me.*

I plan to rearrange the tabs a bit, as well as add three more tabs:
standard, pvp, pvp clear, drones, logi, caps, wrecks, escape

I'm debating using the pvp or pvp clear, which removes stations etc, for drones, logi, and caps overviews, what do you think?

I have a new experimental version posted in my bio and in the Kissist channel with colors. I would love some feedback on it! This is hard for a colorblind person to 'test'.
