Someone should remind those hi sec bots, that this is a social game and a pvp one. It is unnaceptable to always be in hi sec. All those bots are ruining this game by not participating in null sec pvp.

Don't know where you came from but please go away.

Nowhere in the game description does it say that this is strictly a social game based entirely on PvP.

People have the right to play this game the way they want to play. Whether it's doing PvE in high sec or PvP in nul sec.

For the first year or so of playing this game, I was on-line 23/7 doing missions in high sec. As for there being bots in-game, gather evidence and report it.

Funny how the OP states that he tried to follow one of them. I say that his evidence is inconclusive and circumstantial at best.

Did you perhaps log out then log in after each mission 23 hours with over 100 accounts ??

If there are GM's in-game, I'm sure CCP would not find it difficult to script a simple "signs of intelligence" challenge request.
In other words, should they suspect player A is a bot, the GM could fire-up a command, target the suspected bot, or simply type-in suspected bot name.

The bot would get a pop-up on the screen, something along the lines of those authentication letters/numbers one finds on forums when signing-up for the first time. If a reply was not forthcoming within a set period of time or the wrong challenge code was sent back, another test goes out with a different challenge code. Failing this one, one could surmise it is a bot. It could be made so that screen-scraping would fail.

It may very well be someone AFK, but would they then be flying around, jumping gates and doing missions, all while AFK?

Just a thought. GM's probably (hopefully) already have something along these lines at their disposal. The problem of course is identifying possible targets.

Or instead of complaining on the forums, just use the ingame bot reporting tool....

Good on you spotting them, ignore the trolls. Hopefully all of them won't be logging in soon.

Show info on the bot > Right click in upper left corner > Report Bot

Jatate used to have so many bots, it's system jump statistics was a straight ******* line throughout the day which was ridiculous.

All bots must die. They screw the live player who devotes time and effort to playing the game and earning isk. Or, we could just make this game into a giant script vs. script MMO. Could be interesting, like AI chess program vs. AI chess program.
(In other words, don't understand while people are flaming OP for reporting what looks like a game exploit).

As mentioned before in this thread. If you think there is a bot out there use the report feature ingame.

You should not go on the forums to "name and shame" them. Think of the civilians! Blink

Don't name and shame because then everyone can watchlist them and see that they never get banned!

Tell me what evidence do you have that said characters are bots? Again many of these missions are run from a POS PC or laptop at work. Our job is reporting them and letting CCP do their jobs when it comes to removing bots from the game. The accuracy of the report bot function is variable but it is better to use it if you have details CCP can use rather than moaning about it on the forums.

Hey won't this raise implant prices?

I used to like to run couriers out of this system that had a lot of bots. They were all super short so I got my new corp members to run them to get a start making isk. I really like the new system for docking on auto pilot. I ought to try couriers again. I really support OP's hard work as well as naming the system. If he saw that list logging off everytime, I think a TLDR of shame is a good deterrent. See, even though I knew a person or two, I wouldn't turn them in cause they also played the game and were nice people to boot. Couple of the names were familiar and had chatted with them on other channels.. I guess I really don't have a problem with a real player making extra isk and keeping implant prices down.

The only thing that really irritated me was them flying Amarr ships in Minmatar space and grinding standings where they shouldn't even be showing their face. Not in my backyard Amarr Evil

Again if you see a bot use the report bot function and let CCP do their jobs. Just be sure to get as much detail as possible.

Some of you do not understand the point
Problem is not only in implant cost ... standard implants was 22M when Crucible realised as a result of font change (bots stopped working) .. I am not talking about only 100 bots .. I am talking about 1000+ bots doing courier missions that using 1000x plex per month increasing PLEX cost and making lag. Individual like me can only stand and watch that.

I can report 10 botters .. CCP will ban 10 botters .. 10 botters will buy 10x Plex on market to create 10 new accounts .. then I will pay plex 500M instead of 300M

report-a-bot works just as well as moaning on the forums or inhaling your own farts from my experience.

Without feedback - reporting in game feels pretty useless.

Civilians don't have anything to worry about. Pretty much apparent from known facts that bots don't either.

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

Report them and be sure to include the logging out and back in behavior. That may be a new method botters are using to hide from CCP's detection tools.

have you reported a bot? You have no option to include any info about them. Just report, receive pop up. If you send info via petition the GM will tell you to report bots via report-a-bot and then close your petition.
