Bounty without killmail??

Some -9 pirate was sitting at a stargate doing nothing. I podded them. I got an eve notice thing from CONCORD and 10mil ISK....but no killmail.

What's the story here? Did someone else get the KM and I somehow got the bounty? Never really tried for bounties so don't know HTF they work.

Strange. If you were the only one who shot at him or even if there were many people if you fired the final blow you should have got a kill mail. Maybe just a bug that has yet to be worked out. Thats my best guess

I'm guessing you think a Kill Mail is sent to you through the Eve Mail system. Go to Character Sheet > Combat Log > Kills and it will probably be there.

That's what I don't know. I'd assume since I got the bounty that I was the one that killed him. I don't know jack about bounties though. Some flashy sits there for a while though...can't know I was the only one shooting.

I've had this happen before. The bounty goes to the person with the most damage on the capsule, the killmail goes to the person with the final blow. Since capsules have so little EHP it's almost always the same person, but sometimes they can be different.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I post with my main.

There is another option as well. If you kill someone (ship or pod) on the same 1s tic as them docking/jumping, it will destroy the ship/pod but not give a km and not leave a wreck or corpse. It's an odd glitch that has existed in game for as long as I've played. It's rarely a factor, but it does come up.

Well bounties are like an added bonus to a KM. If you got the bounty then you got the final blow. The fact that you havent gotten a KM is like I said prolly a bug.
