T3 Rigs.

One problem with having a ship and wanting to use the quick method of changing fits found through the fitting window via your saved fits is rigs, You have to destroy them if your alternative fit doesnt use the same rigs.

It would be nice to have T3 rigs which were swappable at will much like any other current fitted Mod.

I'd also like to see a reduction in material cost (not by much) for T2 rigs to bring the prices down a little.

I would then imagine T3 rigs to be a little more expensive than the current cost of T2 rigs with this adjustment.

Thoughts gents/ladies?

I think its an interesting idea.

T3 ships are supposed to be modular in order to allow the pilot to fulfil multiple different roles but rigs still have to be destroyed...

For example if i want to fit a Tengu with Heavy Missiles I'd probably fit rigor + calefaction rigs but changing to a HAM fit might go for range rigs.

Seems stupid that I'd have to destroy my rigs and pay for a different set each time or buy two Tengus and fit them differently.

T3 rigs for T3 ships make perfect sense to me

You have failed to identify a balance tradeoff for allowing tech 3 rigs to be removed without destroying them.

Possible tradeoffs:
-Exorbitant cost, combined with a chance to drop if the ship is destroyed or
-Specialized tech 3 rigging skills, with skill point loss on destruction. Tech 3 rigs would start being worse then a t1 rig at skill 1, and be exactly as good as a tech 2 rig at skill 4 or 5. Loose a level of the respective tech 3 rig skill for each tech 3 rig on your destroyed ship.

T2 rigs are already expensive. Also, being destroyed in the process of unfitting them is that keeps rigs from being "just another module".

Some T2 rigs are expensive.

T2 turret rigs are cheap as hell, though.
