T2 XL ammo in meta guns

Hey guys,

I'd like to discuss a "feature" I discovered recently on the test server, which a CCP Dev confirmed to be intended and not a bug: you can use T2 ammo in all XL meta guns, not only the T2 guns. Looking at this I can hardly see the benefit of using T2 guns and I wonder if CCP is still tuning the stats or what we can expect in the release.

Here are some facts (comparing T2 lvl4 specialization vs Concord guns):

  1. T2 guns do ~3% more dps
  2. T2 guns eat more cap/cycle
  3. Concord guns have a higher accuracy score
  4. T2 guns will probably cost like ~220m ISK (vs. ~200m for Concord)
  5. Concord guns require less CPU


So... T2 gives you only a little bit more dps, while having many drawbacks. Am I missing something?

CCP added a new attribute to guns... they called it accuracy score. I guess it's a tracking value for dummies?

I thought it was only meta 5 and up that could use them at least that is what ccp said

They may be intending to turn Concord guns to Faction tags rather than Meta 1?
Is this a change coming to all faction weapons or only Capital weapons at this stage do you know?

CONCORD guns are already faction and meta 8 are you thinking tech level?

as far as i know it will be the same as building the meta mods they are going to test it on the capitals then move it to sub caps. currently on sisi it is only capitals

Cheers, for some reason I thought they were low meta. Been a while since I looked at them in the LP store though.
