Been away for a while...

Been close to 2 yrs and got an itch to play again...

Got back on with all my stuff and went mining in hi-sec the last week or so to get a feel for it all again...

Tonight I was jumped mining by some people who popped my Hulk within seconds and took off before Concord got in. These player continued to harass my mining claiming I needed to go to some website and pay real money for a "permit". I decided to hop in my Golem and go a sector over to run some L4 missions and was pounced again while salvaging my loot. They couldn't do much and were gone before Concord got a hold of them. Again...the permit thing.

What's up with that? Is that new thing now in EVE? I have packed up all my stuff and am now looking to the other side of Caldari space to try and play and get back into things.

A friend I was mining with also was attacked by the same players but was able to get away in time both times.

It's too bad griefers are still so rampant. Took a look at the website and they don't gank for loot. They simply go for fast kills to grief players. I'll be dammned if I'm going to pay for my acct and then have to pay players money to enjoy my Carebear gameplay.

You were mining with this character?

If they have really avoided Concord that is petitionable as an exploit.

I have returned after 4 years little more than a month ago and hadn't any new problem (being suicide ganked while moving trough Uedama with an industrial isn't neither new nor a problem), so probably changing your area of activity would help.

Wrong attitude.

You are blaming others, instead of laughing, saying "damn, I screwed-up!", and "what can I do to avoid this happening again?"

Pretty much this, but either way avoiding concord is petitionable and you'll also never have to pay real-life money to any player for anything. I would petition that as well if I were you, real-life money is only part of the game if its destination is CCP's bank account.

1. They didn't evade CONCORD. Come on, you know it, I know it, the whole world knows it.

2. The mining permits are 10m ISK for a year. They don't demand payment in RL money.

Maybe he's from Iceland and when they said 10 million ISK, he just thought real ISK.

This looks more like a case of a guy being butthurt over being blown up, not realising that the criminals were killed by CONCORD and not understanding how CODE. and associates work.

I have my doubts as well, but I have no proof confirming my doubts so I'll just play along.

...steal - being the operative word. Shocked

Jeez, just laugh at CODE and mine elsewhere if you need to.

Actually I just moved all the way to the other side and started mining again and now another corp came in, declared war on me, placed a bounty on me and kept ramming me to where I couldn't mine at all.

I moved to another sector and another from their corp started it again.

Needless to say, Eve is not as enjoyable to me as it once was. Trying to get the feel back and re-learn most of the game but so far it has proven nearly impossible even in hi-sec. Can't seem to run missions without harassment and can't seem to mine more than a couple hours.

Only get a couple hours a day to play but so far have lost a hulk, been bumped out of every sector I have tried to go to ranging from 0.8 - 0.6. To many I am sure it is funny.... to me it has taken the fun out of the Eve I remember and loved. Oh well, $15 not a big deal to lose.

Oh stop whining, and switch over to a Skiff and all the problems disappear in a heartbeat. If you want to remain in your Hulk, then join a Mining corp who knows what they're doing.

What they're probably doing to you in hisec missions, is killing your MTU. Just remember that doesn't give you kill right.

@OP, sorry to hear about your experience of returning to Eve and being ganked, wardecced, what ever the case may be. This is one of the numerous reasons why new and even seasoned veterans quit and forget about Eve as a whole, because of the likes of CODE for instance. They thrive on a ridiculous gameplay of roleplaying sov holders in hisec which is literally impossible to do as is.

I really feel for you that even loosing $15 for a month is not hard to recoup, and yet this is why CCP is on the loosing end of maintaining any credibility despite of all the lies and propaganda coming from Iceland.

Whether or not if you continue is up to you, and should you decide to cancel I wish you the best of luck elsewhere.

Take care and Fly Reckless. 07

Just buy a damned permit, only 10m ISK for a whole year and saves a whole lot of saltiness

I mine with three Skiffs, tanked , with a full loadout of Hammerhead 2's. I watch dscan, when a potential ganker heads my way I'm waiting for him. When the ganker enters my belt he's target locked with 15 HH2's. No, I can't shoot first, but up till now every wannabe little ganker has simply turned and warped away.

But then I found a little out of the way region with asteroid belts bursting at the seams with high value ore and no, repeat no, gankers. Don't know how long that will last but it's cool for now.

CODES a joke and easy to beat, don't fall for their prattle.

Forum Rep for a bunch of characters, couple corps and one seriously Lost In Space multiboxer.

CODE has been around for longer than the past two years. There are several parts in your tale where the truth is being severely stretched. In my experience people most often get wardecced when they are less than civil in their discourse. A Gallent reaction always does wonders for further interactions, while a Goofus suffers as he must.

Making New Eden a better place 8 rounds of Void at a time.

Funny, smartest, pretty and relevant. Pick 3.
