1v1, what can they take? Most things you might expect. With light drones, neuting and clever piloting you can take out frigates. Most cruisers you will eat alive and most ships larger you can kite or avoid damage by keeping speed or transversal up.

1v1, what CAN'T they take? The main ships to avoid are neuting ships like Curse, Pilgrim, Legion, Bahlgorn, (Dominix). Also Rapier/Huginn and Arazu/Lachesis can be a pain as the limit your ability to be slipery. Drakes are [i wrote:
potentially[/i] a little hard because they tend to be able to project damage further and you may also struggle to beat shield recharge on a passively tanked Drake.

Almost everything you've said is wrong, apart from the Curse and the heavy neut bits. Pilgrim you can kite easily, the other races' recon ships are easy pickings, and a proper PvP-fit HML Drake will kill you without breaking a sweat.

Keep at range, activate MWD, lock frigate and activate guns is also very clever piloting, true.

No need to spreadsheet about it, vs 4 pilots if he ever engages it's a kamikaze run, he's dead. If not, then you should consider your tactics and your gang ships/pilots.

He will engage if he thinks that the other pilots are docked in station, this is why I advised cloaky ships in position.

Lol any "I win" ECM Scorp+Lachesis (shield version) or Rapier+ Scimi+ vaga or cookie cutter hurricane and that's it you overkill your vaga 200%

thanks everyone for answers.

Just some more details:
1. Why i used word "gay" - cyna/vaga is coming from nowhere, pass our systems fast and kill somebody in industrial/noctis at the gates. Then he is away again. Result: we have no time to prepare trap with biting ship or something. We only have option to pursue it and try to do something.
2. I don't want to "overDPS" him. I want to make him think twice before roam again in our systems. Just find, get and kill it.
3. Last incomers did get out once they see solo drake following.
4. Looks like we won't have Rapier in fleet (no skilled people). I can use Falcon, Lachesis. Any points to fitting?

If you cannot deal with a single roamer you should probably go back to high sec. Or get Daniel Grim to drop his Nyx on it, he seems to enjoy it.

Yeah 1 cynabal really isn't a big deal. You ought to be able to kick it out with a bc or two.

Ok, a few solutions for 1.:
- Have neutral eyes in adjacent systems, so you will see what comes near to the green pastures.
- Create a corp standing for the bad guy, with login/logoff notification.
- Have pvp ships under pos shields, to switch ASAP.
- If you use cloakers, launch the same amount of ships from the ship maintenance array, so it will look like ppl are AFK @ POS on the dscan.
- Anchored large bubbles can give a few seconds of time.

2. Kill him a few times, he will not come back. No other way to scare off.

3. Solo Drakes smell like bait.

4. WTF is it these days with xDx, back in the days of Atlas they were competent pilots, don't take it personal but those guys would rip ur limbs off for asking a fitting question on forums, LOL. :) Check battleclinic for failfits, check killboards losses of PL for a bit better.

Vagas can and do kill cynabals, but you gotta know how to fly them properly, and even then, you cross your fingers and toes and hope the cynabal pilot isnt too pro

Solo 4 Life.1v1 always honored, flying without booster alt since Oct 2010. No ransoms honored even if offered :)

Also, I as i don't think the extra tank is what Vagas miss, i don't use tank for my 5th mid in my Cynabal...
I don't need to say much, but the only think that can keep me from killing a solo Curse in it, it's really bad timing or ECM drones.

I just want to clear out some misconceptions in this thread. If you are not cautious of the distance between you and your target, you'll die. A 100mn AB tengu will eat you for dinner.

When I see a Cynabal, I have quite a wide array of ships to chase him with.

Machariel for obvious reasons.
Tempest, if I manage to put my dual neutralizers on him.
Sleipnir. Whatever he does, I can permatank him, I have more DPS, same range.
A Bhaalgorn would definetly **** him up, but he won't ever engage this.

A Typhoon would be funny to fly vs a Cynabal.

Basically, I count on the fact that the Cynabal pilot will think he's fast and he'll outrun me If I wanted to rush toward him.

When you overload your MWD and your point...

A corpmate caught a Cynabal with his Hyperion, just so you know.

Wow, really? You ask that question, yet want to fly an expensive faction ship?
