Twitch is filled with people that do all kinds of unsavory things for real world money. You basically have to sell out in order to succeed, so this crud doesn't surprise me much. I personally enjoyed watching Soda dress like a woman several months back! What? Don't judge me man he made one hell of a foxy chick!!!

Yeah I just saw the reddit post about it further clarifying. I thought she was milking some bogus dead grandfather story in order to pull in money. Anyway, I see that it was basically a few Goons being asshats to her in the stream and it was uncalled for. However, depending on whose stream you visit trolling and terrible behavior like that aren't necessarily all that uncommon either.

You obviously have no idea of what she's like as a streamer if you think she was commenting upon her grandfather's death for sympathy lol

She was more upset about the death's affect on her mother father than she was in mourning herself - for reasons - she was actually pretty matter of factly stating things for her viewers as to why she'd missed an earlier stream and it was only after about 10 minutes of constant trolling that she just decided to end the show.

But jumping to a conclusion based on your preconceived notions is I'm sure a lot easier than actually finding out about the situation or adding anything of substance based around the facts.

I don't have the answer. Well actually I do: there are players who are not goons and don't do that stuff, even if it's acceptable - forget it - regardless of what people think of it nor who is doing the thinking, they just don't do that stuff.

Massive assists to karma, accelerating sudden application of karma to hubris. So-called plebs mass rush into street parties and quick loot of the goods.

Goes back ages, it's a fine tradition by now. Examples: Il Duce, Louis 16. O M G, uncontrollable 'pleb' rabble explosion-- with organized military channeling them!

Surely at some point CCP and the upper echelons of corps have to take on the responsibility of addressing this kind of s**t? Yes humour is broad, but when it crosses the boundary to harassment, it's not acceptable. The only people you find defending these kind of actions are the hormonally and evolutionary challenged.

At some point, it's also up to the community to take responsibility.

CCP can really only take action if they are informed about it properly, not via a reddit thread or a forum thread, but by someone actually complaining. To what extent they would then take action about anonymous characters on 3rd party sites is difficult to know. I'm not sure they can take action, but it's hard if no one actually takes the step of lodging a complaint about it.

What this doesn't seem to be so much is a situation only related to one group. It's a situation related to individuals who don't know where the boundaries of decency lie within the community and all of them are worth addressing, no matter if it's gons, TISHU or any other group.

Over on reddit at the moment there is a lot of finger pointing claiming no one has any moral ground because all sides are doing this. To me that is rubbish. It doesn't matter what side someone is on. It's about individuals doing stupid things and the behaviour of those individuals should be addressed, with banning where appropriate (eg. like the Vile Rat impersonator in TISHU above. That should just be a straight out ban of all accounts in my view).
