Looks like an interesting format; good luck to both parties. o7

The hotlinks in the article to the dead wiki lore pages sting a bit :(

Any ships that are left completely unfit on unbanned setups after all fitting and banning periods are complete will be fit by CCP in an intentionally suboptimal way.

All Hail Empress Catiz Tash-Murkon and her Champion Kelon Darklight! \o/

--

A thing that CCP ought to take away from the Amarr Succession Trails is the ship type specific matches. In all the alliance tournaments, there's always one or two definitive set ups that rule most of the matches and it becomes rather stale to watch them. The AST matches with their varied ship setups imposed by the rules and restrictions created a lot more variety and unpredictable matches, making it more fun to watch. These restrictions also required the participants to come up with good compositions for not just one or two setups, but a wider range.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.
