Explains quite a few things.

I'm still not impressed, a story still would have been better.

Wrong, 10 years ago the corp I was in, honored ransoms and ran scout for paying bears that wanted to move their crap in Aridia.

The corp was Deaths Legion ceo One Gun and Low Sec Liberators ran back then by Le Skunk a well known pirate on this forums back then.

I my self made a few billions scouting for bears who paid and not one of them got ganked by my corp mates nor I ever did either.

Yes there were people like you back then, they had no choice but to make their own corps or go to 0.0 because no pirate corp would want them.

Like I said before times changed.

E- honor? sure I have one and still hold my self to it and I am sure there are plenty of active or former pirates that do so too.

Apart from the e-honor thing, posting chatlogs and the good old days I think this is very hard to read with little entertaining value. ************ seems to be the replacement for both the client and one or more of the pirates.For every sentence I have to decide who is actually talking.

All I got from that transmission was the following:

"Yar! I is pathetic pirate who can't use big words so I swears a lot, yar, we big bad pirates and we the bestest! We the real all the other is fakers! And i'm better then you all, yar!"

You are a pathetic excuse of a pirate, ever since I started I have honoured randsoms, helped ferry people around Low and Null, even respected duel requests from people, while I was commanding Spectre Fleets, in honourable 1v1, I am a pirate, you are akin to a scammer, a pathetic one with no mind power, less then even a Jita scammer Bot, so enjoy your time in space, you have literally just let everyone know how pathetic you are, and it would seem, that most people seem to think you are too, so that is good.

In summary: You are not pirates, you are scammers, pathetic childish scammers.

Here i was thinking that pirates were all about being dashing likable swashbuckling rogues that bamboozled their way into wealth and riches, while following a personal code of conduct. You on the other hand, are just a jerk. It's one thing to take advantage of stupidity and incompetente of others, another entirely different is to take advantage of the good will and diplomatic effort of a person under duress.

If your idea of being a pirate is to act like one of those gun totting terrorists that sail the sea in Somalia, then congratulations, you are living the dream. But you are no Jack Sparrow.

Good thing this isn't the Intergallactic Summit then, and people can be called out for their actions when they cross the line. Horrbile human beings? You leave that IRL crap at the login screen, man. This is a game, and games are suposed to be fun.

If you are going to take advantage of a fellow player, at least do it in good spirit. Don't taunt or provoke them for the sake of a reaction, as you will find those reactions come naturally in most people, and those are the most genuine and tasty tears. Stunts like the one in this thread disencourage people from following demands under threat and deny the actual pirates that create content we can all enjoy, like real ransoms and hostage situations that were defused diplomatically and without much of a scuffle!

You can gripe all you want about fairy-tale pirates, but I'm not the one spouting "Yarr" here. I mean, I do say "Yarr" from time to time, but that's totally not the same thing!

Us Elite Highsec PVPers honor agreements because there's an ingrained concept of contractual obligation, usually based on a desire to maintain a reputation and secure repeat business.

Yet another reason why Highsec PVPers are the master race.
