Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Monday, April 18th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

  • Citadels
  • Server performance (mostly during jumps)

How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal.

Test steps:

  • Be undocked in FD-MLJ
  • Warp to Citadel A and dock
  • Undock from Citadel
  • Warp to X-BV98 gate
  • Jump to X-BV98
  • Warp to Citadel B
  • Dock in Citadel B
  • Switch view between Ship Hangar and Outside View while testing inventory in both views
  • Citadel B explodes
  • Warp to Poitot gate
  • Jump to Poitot
  • Fleet W: warp to Citadel C
  • Fleet X: Warp to Citadel C, start fighting

What else should I know?
Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test

Is there any real benefit to participating in test servers anymore? You award us with 2 million skill points but only on the test server and when the test is over we can't access the server anymore so those 2 million skill point then become useless. Unless you have something to offer me in the server I play 100% of the time it's just a waste of time for me and for any other player who joins the test.

I'm sorry but haven't you figured out why most of the time every test is run, it always turns into a bloodbath, players blowing the heck out of each other, they don't care about SP on the test server, blowing other people up. Enjoy trying to control the PvP.

Is this going to be a test with subs or capitals?

The SP is available for a while after the mass test. Sisi is available and online for testing most of the time, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Want to test a new ship that you can't fly yet? Use the 2 million SP to train it on the test server, then buy and lose as many as you want.

I find my self on singularity all the time, to try out all things I wouldnt just do on Tranqullity.
In this case, even fly a titan :D

I would love to get down on the mass test but now singularity is failing login completely, and then on second attempt says that "The client's local session is corrupt, ...".

Blown away the settings profile completely and copied over from TQ; deleted settings entirely, etc.

On linux for what that is worth.

I can name one important benefit. Helping the devs test everything or were you just referring to whats in it for myself?

It is for exactly that I do the tests. That and they give out free capital ships and about 10 million sp to get into them.P

The test server hasn't reset in over a week, so that was plenty of time for me to try out all sorts of different things, and because I lost one of the free supercaps whilst doing one of the mass tests it gave me billions in insurance, which I don't even need as everything is pretty much 100 isk.

Without doing the mass tests I wouldn't have got to experience any of that.

I could sure use alittle more lead time on the warning!
I won't see it until I log on about 11:00 evetme being central time in the us.
I am in the middle of clearing sleepers, or sucking Clear Icicle, 320, 540 or normal 28 and 32 immediately.
I don't look at the launcher once I am in the middle of things.
I am sure more US ppl would participate if we had more warning than 6 hour.
I notice this blog started the day before at 17:00 but there was no announcement then...

I don't what I am missing. Thought I was using the new launcher but there is nothing in the upper left hand corner to allow me to change to the test server.

It's DIRECTLY to the right of Eve Online in the top left corner. It should show "Tranquility" with "Online" in BLUE.

Just click on TRANQUILITY and it will give you a drop-down.

I must have the old launcher! Not sure how but there is no dropdown and Onlnie is in green, not blue.

This is how the new launcher looks like and where the drop-down is to switch between TQ and SISI http://imgur.com/pjO6aSl

You might need to go to Settings >> Test Servers and enable Singularity test server.
