Hi

Im a returning player after 6-7 years. Last time I played, you could earn money on Agents and mining/industry. How is the game today ? I like to create a new character. what path is the most fun and easy progressive way ?

Today, you can still earn money on agents and mining/industry. If you couldnt, no one would be doing it.

Join a well established corporation with decent amount of assets and the ability to support new players in the form of isk, ships, skillbooks and training.

Welcome back to Eve, may you have a much longer and more rewarding career this time.

If you're gonna do mining, do it in systems with low population located away from mission and market hubs, make sure your ship is tanked / fit for defense and be ready to warp out if someone lands on grid near you.
There's a lot of Suicide Gankers in high sec.

If you're gonna do exploration, best train up all related skills and fit up top equipment to quickly find and complete the sites asap. There's a lot of competition in high sec.

Good luck to you.
